What a pleasant surprise! More rustic than we anticipated, but we were perfectly happy without a television. The room was very clean, comfortable bed and pillows. Coffee was wonderul, I enjoyed the breakfast, as did my husband (though he should have asked for syrup). Totally enjoyed talking with our hosts who are very knowledgeable about the area. Great dining recommendation, and look forward to using their shopping recommendations when we come back here. I do agree about the difficulty finding the. Inn: use the information on the website, not your gps
Rustic accommodations set on the San Juan River. Lovely, comfortable room with breakfast outside overlooking the river. Diana is a wonderful hostess. We enjoyed chatting with her over breakfast. Outdoor lighting could be better.
We loved the chairs and table overlooking the river. The room had a large bathroom and all the windows looked out over the river. Diane brought amazing coffee in the morning that she placed on our outdoor patio with a delicious healthy breakfast. She even left coffee early for us the next morning when we had to leave. We were close to town to be able to walk the Riverwalk and not far from the Kirtland Golf Course. My only suggestion would be to make the entry sign off the highway more noticeable. We had a hard time finding that, even with GPS. We would definitely return!
Comfortable, wonderful couple with unique history run it, and just appreciate all the details they provided. Knowledgeable on NM and the West, just travel in general for my questions. The home grown peaches on my home made waffles made my trip to Chaco a lot more enjoyable.
Upon my arrival, it was dark and difficult to see the sign and driveway. I ended up driving across in front of the fire station. I drove down a long trail to the rustic looking Silver River Inn B & B. I was warmly greeted by the host and escorted to my room. For the three days I was there, I was never asked for proof of vaccination, also didn't see or hear anything about a spa. Breakfast was served to me in my room, Covid precaution. I was very disappointed in breakfast. Coffee (very hot 👍) and a freshly baked muffin, that's it. For the prime price that was charged, I thought something more substantial would be served for breakfast. I'm not fond of anything made with goat but that was never a consideration from the host. The room has lots of windows but the river was barely seen. There's an embankment with shrubs and trees that block the view. The room was comfortable and well equipped with wifi, a room heater, small fridge with freezer, microwave, utensils, 2 plates, 2 bowls, and 2 cups. A small seat was in the room but it was so hard it would be impossible to sit on it for any length of time. There is a private bathroom with full shower, another small heater, lots of washcloths, a hand towel, shampoo & conditioner, body lotion, a tiny square of soap and ONE bath towel.…
Quaint B&B. Clean. Difficult to find even with gps due to dirt road surrounded by weeds & shrubs. Cement floors cold in February even with portable electric heater. No TV. Nice decor & area rugs. Hosts very friendly & talkative. Breakfast good but no protein included.
Everything was very nice. It was quiet, private, very clean and the hosts were friendly. But. The breakfast was amazing. It was Cinqo de Mayo and Diana made the most wonderful baked apple concoction and years later, she sent me the recipe because I haven't stopped thinking about it. I made it and it was very good. Diana made it far better. Thank you for the recipe!
Was a lot like going to Grandma's house for Thanksgiving:) has a wonderful time getting to know everyone!! Walking the dog along the river was awesome!:) Breakfast was completely made to order!! My wife and I have several food allergies she had to accommodate!!:) Tasted wonderful and healthy
This was definitely my kind of place. The feeling we got staying here was full of warmth & welcome. The hosts were delightful and were attentive without being intrusive. Thanks for a great weekend. We will return!
We stayed in Farmington only to break up a too-long drive; we weren't expecting much. But this place was great! In a bleak landscape with a busy highway going through it, you turn down a small road behind the fire station and boom, you're in a different world. Nestled beside a river is an oasis of green and peace. The room was large, clean, airy, and comfortable, and a small path between the inn and the river affords a nice tranquil walk. Breakfast was fine — a bit odd, but ample and tasty, and served with friendly good cheer. If I had any reason to go to Farmington, I'd be delighted to stay here again.
