Went on a couples trip. I had been here with group of guys previously. It's impossible to do this place justice in a review. Stunning location, unbelievable fishing, wildlife, scenery, activities and above all else, the staff and hosts are amazing people who take great care of you. My wife doesn't really fish, but she loved the heli-fishing and caught some nice salmon. The lodge and rhythm to each day was absolutely magical. We had an amazing shore lunch with Orcas, whales, dolphin, and sea lions swimming off shore. And the next day, we had an amazing lunch next to a glacier. The food is out of this world. The entire time we were there, I was planning the next trip to Nimmo. The helicopter pilots are the best and are great fishing guides as well (very patient with the group - many novices). We saw bear and even snorkeled up to them on the last, short day we were there (the snorkeling was a non-standard request that they were very willing to accommodate - it was awesome, we ate sea urchin while in the water). The words that come to mind when I think of our trip and Nimmo are family, friends, service, wildlife and beauty. I can't wait to go back!…
I had the great pleasure and privilege of visiting Nimmo Bay for the second time this past May. It's a mystifyingly beautiful experience that is extraordinary in every sense. Words truly can't capture what if feels like to be at Nimmo Bay.
My wife and I just got back from spending four incredible days at Nimmo Bay Resort. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. the service, the food, the staff, the adventures, the accommodation. Two words say it all "Paradise Perfection" We are already planing next visit.
Nine of us went to Nimmo Bay for my 60th birthday. We all came away astonished by its beauty, charm and grace. The extraordinary setting is matched by the service and enthusiasm of the people who work there. The food is INSANE. The staff is INCREDIBLE. Orcas swam under our boat. Glaciers passed under our helicopters. All of us had been on amazing trips before -- in Europe, Africa and Asia -- but none was as amazing as the four days we spent at Nimmo Bay.
Nimmo Bay lived up to and exceeded all our expectations. The wilderness setting is stunningly peaceful. The cabins are perfectly equipped with an under-stated elegance. It is worth paying the supplement for a direct sea view. But most of all, the staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgable. The quality of guides, particularly high, succeeded in identifying a number of encounters with black bears! Leaving Nimmo was a sad day.
