The pool and hot tub was very dirty, We were there for a 5 day murder trial. The jury people did not show up so they canceled the trial. I told them what happened and asked if they would return some of our money. They said that they would not return any of our money. Sorry too bad. We will never stay there again. The court re schedule the trial for August.but we will not stay there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My name is Richard Mills

Pros: friendly staff; clean and well-maintained park and facilities. Close to Elephant Lake and tourism in Truth and Consequences. Will stay again. Cons: washer and dryer cost is up there$$$$ this was surprising for the area.

We stayed here for 4 nights with our two kids and our two big dogs. The showers/bathroom/laundry area were super clean and comfortable. Laundry is reasonably priced. Nice trail across the street to walk our dogs. Heated pool and hot tub were a huge hit with our kids, and Elephant Butte State Park is just down the road. It was super quiet in March, but I can see how this place would be hopping in the summer. Highly recommend!

We spent 6 weeks there amid the COVID-19 crisis from December 2021 to the beginning of February 2022. The campground is well cared for, the RV sites are spacious and the laundry/showers and washrooms are spotless. The staff are also very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again.

Although we didn't use any of the amenities, we found our stay enjoyable. RV sites are a little tight but not bad. There are two dog parks. One appears to be a retention pond that was dry at the time. Staff is friendly.

We arrived to find out that the swimming pool was closed. When I made the reservation, they did not mentioned to me there was no pool. They also had charged our card for the whole amount, before we got there. Only the deposit should had been charged. We wanted to use a different card for the stay. They did reverse the charge, and charged the appropriate card. The site that was assigned to us, was incredibly skinny. There was barely any room to open the slide and sit outside comfortably. Our neighbors were complaining about the same thing. After we set up, we left the air conditioner on for our dogs, and went for lunch and a couple of groceries. When we came back, the power was out and 85° in the RV. When we called, about it, there was no sense of urgency. The power was out for over an hour in 95° temperatures. I had to sit in the truck with the dogs in air conditioning until the power was restored. The following day, the power went out for 20 minutes. They sent the maintenance guy out, but he came after the power came back on. Thank goodness we were there when it happened. The “Store” is a joke. No RV essentials, basic emergency needs, etc. They had Gatoraid and coke, a few books, and cards. That’s it! They do have a dog wash, which we utilized after the dogs going in the lake, but it was quite pricey. I must say that the RV resort was clean and immaculate, but I must say that with the pool out, the electrical issues, and the joke of a store, they should not be charging “Resort” price. Also, I didn’t find the staff particularly friendly.

we had a garden site in the lower level - site was spacious and had a great view, the campground is 1st class in all respects - the indoor pool and exercise room were excellant I missed the fine print that my weekly stay did not include electric - they should mention it on check in

We stayed here in October and found it to be great. Staff friendly, facilities were clean, sites easy to find and get in and out of. Not too noisy, close to town, and lake. Call them to get all they offer, even a dog wash.

We made our reservation for two days three days before arriving. Due to high winds we had to stay overnight elsewhere and called Elephant Butte to tell them of the delay. Upon checkout we were charged for both nights without explanation. Later we called to get a refund since we only stayed one night. They said because we didn’t call 7 days prior to our stay we would not get a refund. This makes no sense since our reservation was made 3 days prior to arrival. Very dissatisfied with how this was handled.
