we were greeted at the front desk by a friendly staff member who efficiently provided us with a room on the first floor which I had requested. Unfortunately the room was right next to the stairwell and you could hear people walking up and down all night. The room was next to the exit on the side door and guests were walking their pets out to do walk them and you could hear the barking of he dogs as they went by. Unfortunately, I do not think many made it outside to do their business as the next morning there was an odor on the hallway rug. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable. in addition when we went to get breakfast their was a gentleman in line who was not wearing a mask (hotel mandates this) and the staff person did not say anything to him. I reported all these things to the staff in the morning…
We usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Mesilla on our way to Tucson. This time we went on to Deming because of the hotel in Mesilla being totally booked already. We are glad we did and will probably drive on to Deming from now on. We were very happy with the Hampton Inn in Deming. Quiet, clean and comfortable.
We stayed overnight on a driving trip. The room seemed clean enough, although they didn’t give enough towels. Big complaint is that the person preparing breakfast and tending the front desk “wore” a mask, but why bother?? It barely covered his mouth, and definitely not his nose. He was sniffling all over, really bothersome. He offered us breakfast (since no buffet) but we definitely declined. Also, over half of the guests we saw didn’t wear masks and were not asked to. Will not go back for sure!
My wife stayed at this location the first of March 2020. Her business card and personal card were both charged for the stay. After several days and numerous phone calls with HI staff the issue is not resolved. Our credit card provider is telling us only this Hampton Inn can reverse the charge, but HI is claiming they don't see the charge as more than pending. They admit to charging both cards but their refund explanation makes no sense. On two occasions, the manager has told my wife she would email confirmation that the charge on our personal card should not have occurred. However, she has yet to follow through on her word. I have disputed the charge and plan to make a BBB report. If not resolved, we will be forced to take legal action to get our money back. Be cautious of giving them a separate card for your incidentals and pay close attention to your invoice when you stay here.…
This place is a standard HI. What rates 5 Stars is the kindness of the management. A contingent of US Army soldiers was staying there supporting the Border Patrol. As the soldiers only had access to fast food, the management bought a gas grill for them so they now have other options for cooking. Well done Hampton Inn in Deming.
