I was looking for an Inn type experience outside of the town or city. This is is. It is a wonderful bed and breakfast. Unique and variant rooms attached to the main building and some separate. Each is comfortable, clean, picturesque, different, with all amenities. The breakfasts are both local and traditional, filing and delicious. The location is on a large land plot separate from the Chimayo town. It is accessible to Santa Fe, Taos, river rafting. Also if you just want to relax to hang out. Great spot. I would definitely return
Charming with Native themed rooms. Comfortable bedding. USB plugs, communal refrigerator. Extraordinary breakfast and hospitality. Not your typical Marriott experience ..in a good way. Convenient location. Slow internet so take the time to be away. Great restaurant nearby.. Rancho de Chimayo! Great hikiing nearby at Bandelier National Park
this is the most relaxing place! Kim the owner is warm and welcoming. She provides a wonderful breakfast, the use of the kitchen throughout the day, snacks, a wonderful patio to relax and watch the birds and an atmosphere that promotes interaction with other guests. We hope to return someday
If you're looking to escape the 'rat race', this is the place. Yes there is no TV, the internet is slow, and cell phone service spotty. BUT, there are no crowds, no traffic, no party by the pool bar. Just peace and quiet in a lovely rural setting. Our room was more like a suite with access to a private patio. Clean and had all the essentials. However, the real treat was the staff. The inn keeper, food prep/servers, and the housekeeper were amazing! Much like staying with favorite friends. We will be back.
Room was great! Very clean and we had a beautiful deck. The staff was amazing and bent over backwards to ensure our stay was perfect! They were very accommodating and kind. Breakfast was delicious and they cater to everyone’s personal needs.
A GEM. My wife and I needed a little getaway/staycation after our busy holidays and Casa Escondida provided just what we needed. When we arrived, we were in awe from the beautifully maintained rural property, room/main house decor, kiva fireplace (we stayed in casita) , private patio, quality sheets, and Belinda’s generous hospitality. Especially the next morning, Belinda had fruit, coffee fresh made hot breakfast :) ready just for us. She was personable and very attentive, she made us feel comfortable during breakfast. Next time my wife and I will stay longer than 1 night to fully enjoy the peace we received from this authentic northern New Mexican B&B. Thank you Belinda, can’t wait to visit again, take care.
Stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay. Belinda was very accommodating to our requests, breakfast was great, and everyone was friendly. I visited with Cynthia in the kithen a couple of mornings, and everyone made all guests feel welcome. Neat place!
For almost 20 years we have stayed several days at Casa Escondida. We keep coming back for the home-like surroundings and outstanding customer service. Owner/Inn Keeper Belinda and staff Cynthia make the guests needs and wishes their priority. Cynthia not only cooks and serves breakfast but also checks people in and gives them a thorough orientation to the inn. Due to a last minute dietary request and by breakfast the next morning, it was taken care of. Housekeeper Nancy ensures that rooms are refreshed every day. I cannot say enough positive about our experience.
Casa Escondida was everything we could have asked for. More than anything, we thoroughly enjoyed the welcoming environment. The food was excellent, accommodations clean and conversations enjoyable. We highly recommend them for future guests and will definitely stay there again.
