I love B&B's. Unfortunately, this one was expensive for what you get. We stayed in the "pet friendly" Sun room right off the main house. The room was nice and the patio perfect for our little dog. The problem with the room was hot, having only a ceiling fan. The room didn't cool down until late in the evening. Also,... More

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I'm glad that you enjoyed the Sun Room. Some of our rooms do offer AC. Ground level rooms have ceiling fans. 2nd floor rooms have AC. We do suggest a $1 contribution for the very large sports bottles of bottle water, which we keep on hand as a courtesy for... More

This is a lovely B&B. We arrived earlier than our notated "late arrival time" and our host was very accommodating. Our room was clean and very pleasant. The bathroom was in the room and was clean and perfect. We had a delicious breakfast. The overall experience was very warm, welcoming and very comfortable. This location is a great base for... More

Thank you for your nice review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. As you point out, we really are a great base for exploring the Chimayo area and even more! Many guests base out of Chimayo and find it ideal for also visiting Santa Fe, Taos, Bandelier National Monument, hot springs, Pueblos and more. We hope to see... More

We stopped in this beautiful inn along the way on a multi-stop road trip. Even before we arrived we were enchanted by the peaceful and lovely drive from Santa Fe, especially once we were on the High Road. Opened the windows and breathed the mountain air! Coming up the drive to Casa Escondida, the colorful main house with its Great... More

Thank you for your review. I'm glad that you enjoyed so many aspects of your stay. I was concerned about your comments regarding the outdoor lighting, so I checked. I'm doubtful that it was the solar lighting along the walkway. The walkway lights are only about 12 inches above the ground and they barely produce enough light to illuminate the... More

We've been to Chimayo many times but this is the first time we stayed overnight. Casa Escondida is so very charming and enabled us to eat dinnner (and lunch) at Rancho de Chimayo and then return to relax here at our B & B. In addition to the charm, our bed was very comfortable and the linens luxurious. We're hoping... More

We have stayed at Casa Escondida 3 times now and each time is better than the last. We love the location as it is central to everything in Chimayo and it's a great halfway point between Santa Fe and Taos. The room we stay in (Vista) is the best room as it has a private deck with table and chairs... More

Very Peaceful- Staff Excellent and very friendly and well trained. Breakfasts were superb. Dog friendly, and we had two large dogs who were accommodated easily. One of the best parts was the back patio (not to be missed)with thistle feeders and hummingbird feeders and constant flocks of hummingbirds, gold finches, and numerous other small and medium sized beautiful birds. Casa Escondido is just the ticket for a quiet retreat, or family gathering. The owner and staff provide a delicious breakfast, smiles, and attention to providing the best experience for their guests. My room was just the right size, and very comfortable bed/sheets/pillow. Two enthusiastic thumbs up to stay here!

We arrived early, but were welcomed to the Sunroom which was perfect for my husband and me. It was a big fiesta/festival weekend roundabout, so the place was fully booked--but quiet and congenial. Our room had its own patio and both a bed and day bed. I liked best the bank of full-length windows discreetly curtained with lace, the clear... More
