We were surprised. Chama is a very small place out of the way place and the roadside is dotted with lodges and motels that don't look very appealing. The rooms at RBL are larger, fresher and more appealing than expected. Ours had new carpeting and fresh paint. The AC was very good and the room had a fan. It was... More

After riding the dinner train, it was nice to come back to this quiet, clean hotel room with all of the amenities;comfortable bed & pillows, flat screen TV,refrigerator, microwave, etc. We spent time sharing with the owners and felt like we had made new friends. I left behind my jacket liner and called there to see if they had found it. They said... More

We spent 3 nights here last week and had a superb time. The lodge staff was very helpful & friendly, the cabin we stayed in was very comfortable and had all the amenities you'd want. The little town of Chama was quite charming with good restaurants and some nice shopping options. We would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here many times and the room is always clean, the scenery is always relaxing, and the service is always good. We have yet to stay in a cabin. I believe each cabin has its own grill. There are 3 areas outside where you can light a fire and sit and relax at night. If you don't have... More

My wife and I stayed here for one night in one of the rooms. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the customer service was really good. The location of the lodge, by the river, was great. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone traveling to or through Chama. We have already made tentative plans to stay there... More

We went to Chama for the 4th of July train, and we stayed at Chama River Bend Lodge. From the booking to check out, everything was great, a family effort. The room was large with 2 beds in it. It was so comfortable. After 7 nights on the road, this was the first time I able to make my oatmeal... More

These folks are wonderful! My brother and his boys (ages 16 and 9) had been hiking the Continental Divide and at the end of week three my husband, their mom and I were to meet them at Cumbres Pass. They were ahead of schedule and would have had to wait 2 hours for us to pick them up. (We were... More

We went on a family trip to Chama a week ago and stayed here. The place was nice, had great views, was spacious and very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in the cabins and it was pricey for what you get. The cabin itself is roomy & comfortable, however, one SMALL bathroom for a cabin that can accommodate 6 is... More

Came to chama with my 7 year old son to ride the cumbres and Toltec rail road, and picked this place to stay based on the reviews. It didn't disappoint. I would recommend to others as what seemed to be the best of the places to stay in Chama. Enjoy!
