Sky Mountain Resort RV Park, is a wonderful park! The owners opened this park, 10 years ago and are gems!. Each year they continue to make improvements, which have included a dog run, modern restrooms/showers, picnic tables at every site and more, though it’s hard to improve on beautiful spots, under trees (for the most part), along the Chama River.... I recently spent two nights at Sky Mountain Resort and I have to say this was my very first experience in an RV park. I’ve backpacked extensively and camped in state and federal parks over the years, avoiding RV parks for various reasons. However, the purpose of my trip to Chama was to take the train and with no state... More

We've stayed at the Sky Mountain RV Park during our past few visits to Chama and found it to be exceptionally nice. The owners are friendly and always eager to accommodate. It's a clean park with a comfortable/safe atmosphere. We will continue to make this our place to "park" and enjoy our future visits to Chama.

Easy to miss on the west side of the highway, this hidden gem boasts impeccably clean facilities and friendly hosts. Three areas to camp: along the Rio Chama, on a little higher ground with back-in sites and late afternoon shade, and higher yet for pull-through sites in full sun. Turn at the Good Sam flag along Highway 84 on the... More

We spent one night here May 12 en route from Taos to Durango. It is wonderfully kept. Owners are delightful. The premium spots are back-ins sitting directly on the bank of the river. Pull through sites (ours) are on gravel, with no shade, but were level and had nice picnic tables. Bathroom facilities were immaculate and large private shower room... More

My family of four thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chama at Sky Mountain. This is a well-run facility. No riff-raff. Very clean. The sites are nice. Bill did a great job checking us in and directing us to our site. We felt at home and like many of the other guests were family. I would not hesitate to stay here... More

There are so few places I would want to keep secret. This is one of them. We have made two stays and I hope more are in our future. I finally figured out how to fish the river and the mountains are now calling me. The place is kept clean and is well maintained by super owners. We have seen... More

If you need to stop over en route or have a sweet destination...this campground is a great choice. En route from Santa Fe to Colorado. Clean, courteous, old fashioned place that sits at the end of Chama on the 17. Stopping in Chama is a relaxing trip back in time. Andy Griffith style. An ice cream and sitting on the... More

I can't say enough for this RV park. We camped under the lovely trees during a vintage trailer rally, and the owner Bill, a really great guy, had set up a tent, tables, grill etc. for us. Our trailer was perfectly level on its new gravel pad. The fire circle was an ingenious design that worked quite well, and we... More
