Stayed here for a week in early August. The park was very clean and well maintained. Every site seem to have an in ground fire pit of some kind. The bathrooms were well maintained. The showers had privacy. The park had plenty of beautiful trees. Most spaces had a ton of extra room. We practically had a driveway with our... More

We were one of the few tent campers at Rio Chama RV Park. The large shady trees and flat sites had nice fire pits, but I recommend that you ask for a site away from the septic system! However, I would definitely return to this campgrounds for the incredibly clean bathrooms complete with flush toilets and hot showers. The woman... More

We chose this RV park because it was close to the railroad station, within walking distance. Everyone was helpful, friendly and the grounds were very clean. Spaces were tight but level for our RV. Beautiful river and a viewing spot to watch the train coming and going, great pictures. Advertised that they had internet but it was very poor service,... More

Have come here 3 times now.😍 really nice clean areas...we were on the river sites! Looks like adding more? All there help..take you to site & make sure you're able to set up. Helpful your whole stay! Train coming by adds to the ambiance! Deer come around as do other critters! Hummingbirds fun too... Only downers are the restrooms/showers (need... More

This is a lovely, very well-maintained park located beside the Rio Chama and the historic Cumbres & Toltec steam train. It's reasonably priced and the management is friendly and helpful. There are a few negatives however. The lovely shade trees are mostly cottonwoods, and in June they are dropping their "cotton" which is messy and irritating. They can also make... More

Tried to make a reservation but their website is terrible. When I called and tried to get details about RV site locations, the woman was half listening and talking to someone about her grandkids in the background. She then asked if she could call me back later to discuss my reservation. I would recommend booking your RV stay at Sky... More

No store, no laundry, one bathroom/shower on south side very inconvenient. Cottonwood seeds every where looks like it snowed. Lots of bugs too River sights are right on top of each other. We had neighbors that wanted two stalls but only pay for one. Some people have a lot of brass. On the good side great views of the steam... More

We had a site by the river and could hear it babbling at night, that was very relaxing, the park was clean and in good shape and the volunteers were out everyday working and helpful keeping and improving the area, in the process of adding more sites. Many sites are very shady, roomy and easy to get in and out,... More

Stopped in Rio Chama to ride the train; the location of this park is walking distance from the train station. The park has lots of trees and level sites. The big drawback is the condition of the bathroom and shower facilities. The building they are housed in is old; the interior is shabby, and the cleanliness was shabby for our... More

I have picked this camp ground to the closeness to the Rio Grand river and it was the right call. The river it right behind our RV camp site. My family and I have been enjoying the hospitality of the camp site host and staff. The camp site it clean and organized. The host is very helpful. They are always... More
