The owners were so nice and the room was SO clean, the king size bed was amazingly the most comfortable bed that we have slept on. I have been coming to the chama area for years now but this was my first time to stay here but we will be back again. Thank you for your kind hospitality. Jill/Roger the Texas Ranchers
Visited with our daughter & family. Stayed in a cabin & they stayed in the trailer. Loved our accommodations. Our grandson couldn’t get enough of the river!! Linda & Albert were kind & helpful. Beautiful time of the year to visit. Supporting our local businesses.
Elkhorn lodge is a great place to stay, this is my 4th year staying there in December. They have a great restaurant near the lodge with good food but it closes to early. It serves a trout lunch that is very good and the service at the lodge and restaurant is outstanding.I will be back in December 2020.
These are nice cabins and hotel rooms along the Chama River. Rustic style cabins that have been recently remodeled inside. Our cabin was clean and comfortable. We liked the theme decorations and mountain cabin feel--way better than staying at some new sterile type hotel. There's a small playground and a wooded "pet area". Owners were welcoming. Chama is a lovely area to visit and these cabins and rooms are a good choice. We would stay there again.
Driving down from Denver and planning to visit Dulce the next day, I looked up ahead of time all the lodgings in Chama for spending the night, not having stayed there before. We wound up making a reservation here. Without a doubt it was a great choice. My wife and I stayed in the motel building, in Room 34, one of only two rooms with a king size bed, neither of which allowed pets, which we preferred. The room was large, quiet, spotlessly clean, and the furnishings were nice. It even had a balcony. The gas wall heater was very quiet and reliably regulated the heat. The bathroom and towels were fine, nicer than we expected. The bed was comfortable. Wi-Fi worked without any problems. The proprietors Linda and Albert were personable and friendly and I could tell they would make every effort possible to accommodate their guests. The cabins are nice but if you don't need kitchen facilities and want a room with a king sized bed, I highly recommend Room 34.…
