After a long day on my motorcycle, I checked into the Chama Trails Inn, only expecting a basic motel stay. Owner Chester Maez greeted me warmly, and as a fellow motorcyclist, we had a nice chat. I stayed in room 14, which is very comfortable and an awesome king bed. The pride of Chester and Starla, his wife, clearly shows... More

We stayed here one night with granddaughter for train ride next day. The good: -The room, bathroom, and furnishings were very clean. -Good DirecTV but standard definition. -Comfortable beds. -Good WiFi -Very close to Fina’s Diner (just north of motel) and High Country Restaurant (west across NM17). -A centrally located ice machine, a small library, and laundry facilities. -A nice... From Dallas Texas. We researched places to stay and picked Trails End. So glad we did. Nostalgic cowboy/ranch-hand rooms. We would stay here again. Room 12 is the best with wrap around porch. Very convenient place with High Country Restaurant across the road and Fina's to the right within a very short walk, which we did. Host and hostess are... More

I booked this room sight unseen. It was the kind voice on the other end that made me trust my choice. I loved the southwest decor of the room, it was very nice and well appointed. Our bathroom was immaculate and we enjoyed our showers. The king bed was very comfortable and the heater kept our room cozy. There was... More

Stayed for two nights in September. A Mexican style motel that was certainly adequate. Not new and the room looked like it had a kitchenette at some point. Room was clean. Shower worked. Also had an outdoor shelter for cooking out if you wished. Also had ice machine and washing machine. We were visiting the Combres and Toltec and would... More

This is the fourth time we have stayed at Chama Trails before and after a hunt. The place is quite old but super quaint and always spotlessly clean. The beds are wonderful and the owners are great. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. It is one of the most comfortable places anywhere.

Beautiful place run by some wonderful folks! Room was gorgeous, clean and decorated wonderfully. Loved the fireplace, couch, flat screen TV and the outdoor pavilion is a great place to sit back and relax. A delicious dinner is right across the street too! We will make this a destination next time to spend more time and enjoy the train ride... More

The room was clean except for the bugs in the room. The staff was very rude especially after I asked for a fan to try to help cool off the room. The room was #9 and was so hot that we could not stay in there any longer. 93 degrees in the room at 11:10pm!!! The night manger told me... More

We stayed in this Motel in July 2015 on a 13 state bike trip, we mostly stayed at Best Western Motels, but when we found this little beauty we wanted to stay for a while. Our rooms were the only two rooms they have on a second floor. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the cleanest I have ever stayed... More

The motel itself was very nice. The room was clean, nice modern rustic decor, comfortable beds. The room had a flatscreen tv & mini fridge. But 2 things made this motel AWFUL! #1- there is NO AIR CONDITIONER. After checking into the room late that evening with all of our luggage & not being able to find it, the office... More
