Owner gave our camp site away after we verified 2- days prior to arrival. We drove 6- hours only to not have a place to stay. Owner did not have the decency to answer the phone or come to the door to provide an explanation. Would not recommend this place!!! Be aware!!! Find another campground!!!

This is a nice stop along our journey touring the US. Affordable peaceful.. walking distance to the lake. CJ is super nice! Need to be self contained.. she has electric.. sewer and water hook ups. A little off the highway but fairly quiet.

Plus—small family owned campground near Lake Caballo, NM. $17.00 per night plus electricity (ours was $2.68 for one night using A/C) for full hookups. Owner was very nice and helpful. Offers a 2.5 hour happy hour in her home every night. Site was level. Fairly nice dog park. Good access to I-25 Minus—no bath house, showers, or laundry. Would return again for an overnight stay

We were fortunate the the nearby state park was full and we landed just down the road. The owner welcomed us, got us settled in our site and invited us to happy hour at 4:30. A park tradition every afternoon. Great views of the lake! Basic rate is $15 a night with full hookups!

We stayed in Caballo Lake RV Park for four nights in Sept 2017. This was our first visit. The park is small and has no amenities other than great people, level sites, cleanliness and nice landscaping. The owner, C.J., has been taking care of the park herself for over 20 years. She has many "regulars" that return to stay with her year after year. Every evening from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. she hosts a happy hour on her patio that is well attended. Also, there are trails that lead down to the lake and the park is located adjacent to the Caballo Lake State park. We truly enjoyed staying there and will stay there again when we are in the area. Rate is $15 per night plus electric. Great price.

From 4-6PM you can meet with the owner and guests for a friendly chat. Some of these guests are long term residents of the park. There is a nice dog run area and hiking trails down to the lake. The night time sky is fabulous with the milky way clear and all the stars are sharp. Night time is quiet. The only draw back is that there are no public bathrooms or showers.

This is a wonderful little park and a real bargain. Clean, neat and immaculately maintained. They have a very nice little dog park which is an important asset for our three dogs. Full hookups but no shower/laundry facilities. Excellent. We'll be back again and again.

Don't miss this delightful spot! It is one of the nicest, privately owned campsite we have been to. Owner (CJ) lives on site and takes pride and care on her property. She is an amazing lady with other interesting, longer stay guests. RV lots are generous size, well water delicious, hospitality can't be beat. There is also a casita to rent if you need a room for the night.

Looking for a quick overnight and wished we could have longer. The owner is a wonderful person. She keeps everything pristine and imaculate. All for a very small fee. Electric was billed separate but was only 1.40.
