The balcony of our room provided a fantastically close view of the Trongsa Dzong and the surrounding valley. We could hear the amazing sound of the fast flowing river far below us as we slept in comfortable cosy beds. Our road trip from Thimphu to Trongsa was long and scary with all the road construction taking place. The hotel staff...

This is a very cosy comfortable property in a traditional style with wooden floors, ceilings and walls and a balcony overlooking a splendid view. Trongsa is the reason Bhutan is called the land of the thunder dragon - billowing white clouds in the narrow valley below and the magnificent monastery laying sprawled in its entirety to admire at close range....

We were supposed to have driven through Trongsa and stopped only for lunch. We broke down about a couple of hours outside and managed to reach Trongsa only at dinner-time. We had to stop. Our guide had managed to book Tashi Ninjay at the last moment. The hotel is in three levels, the lobby and office is at the road...

We were on the roadside of this basic hotel the best rooms are at the back and have a view all over the valley. We had twin beds but one was only a mattress on the floor! This wasn't a problem for us as it was a clean room but crowded. In contrast the bathroom was huge! The restaurant was...

All about the view here, room ok, think 80's ski lodge, clean enough, bathroom a bit tired, wifi available. Food was OK typical Bhutanese. A reasonable one night stay no major complaints. View of the dzong is pretty good too.

Our room was cozy and comfortable, with a spectacular view of the valley from the balcony. You can see the Trongsa valley with the Trongsa fortress perched on it. And at night, you can gaze down at the fortress all lit up. The bathroom was clean and spacious with abundant hot water. The food at the restaurant was delicious (traditional...

You really can't beat the view and the food for all three meals was great. Dogs barking kept us up much of the night. A walk into town held a lot of interest but don't expect to find coffee! Go past the town to the local market.

We only spent one night here but the room was very comfortable, as was the bed, and we had a balcony overlooking the Dzong and river valley. The staff was very friendly. Wi-fi for the rooms is not working, and hadn't been for a week, so one had to go to the lobb, and that was only after several complaints were...

Clean, functional bathrooms, friendly staff, and decent Wi-Fi connection. Standard Bhutanese dinner. Ask for room facing Trongsa Dzong. Amazing view of the fortress against green mountainous backdrop from the back balcony.

Pretty much the only redeeming features of this basic hotel are its location and the effort made by the staff to provide good service. This tired hotel harkens back to back road North American hotel rooms in the sixties...I think the extra blankets were from that era. The rooms were clean but there was an overpowering smell of cleaning solution....
