Avery nice building resort with lots of sustaing problems in the room. The hot water is enough for one person shower hardly. The second person has to wait for half an hour for hot water. The bathroom had a very bad smell and the window had a problem so cold weater was a problem. We stayed for 2 nights so some things were fixed. Service was very nice but food was not.
This hotel is located on a hillside overlooking the valley and mountains around Trashigang. It's probably the best place to stay in Trashigang, as there were large tour groups and government ministers staying here too. The public areas of the hotel were just open, cavernous spaces. The seating areas were not decorated attractively. The dining area reminded us of a hospital cafeteria -- with harsh lighting, white walls and hard-surfaced floors. Our room was of a reasonable size, and had large windows facing out over the valley and parking area directly below. The noise from the parking area was obtrusive first thing in the morning. The windows were quite dirty. The heaters in the room worked well. The furniture and beds were comfortable. There wasn't a safe in the room. It was quiet, except for some barking dogs and vehicles. Bottled water is in the room. There was a fan that also worked well. Meals were good here. Staff were friendly and efficient.…
All travellers we met at the airport stayed in this hotel. The rooms are so big - no need for such a space! The bathrooms have 1 bath + 1 shower , 6 meters long! Not very well built, and above all not really clean (curtains had spots, sheets too, smelt clean but did not look good. Meals were ok (delicious dhal), but served on napkins with grease spots. Employees very nice and helpful, and night barking dogs... well they stop if you tell then Shhhh!!! from your window ;-) We would prefer a lot more simple accomodation, smaller rooms, simple and practical bathrooms, and better built.
We only stayed here for one night, arriving after dark after a very long drive. The steep driveway off the main road is quite scary in the dark! Room 107 is a large twin bedded room with a large bathroom, walk in shower. Hot shower with powerful pressure. Kettle, tea, coffee and powdered milk, bottled water, air con and ceiling fan, T.V. Good WiFi even in our room. Good storage facilities. The restaurant served us an excellent evening meal, well stocked bar. We didn’t have breakfast here as we left before 5am. Very nice staff. Luggage delivered and collected to and from our room.
An isolated hotel perched on top of the hill with amazing views of the valleys. The rooms are HUGE, as are the toilets. Living in Singapore, my own apartment pales in comparison in terms of size. The only downside was that there was no hot water, so I enjoyed a cold shower in the winter. The food is great as well, with lots of Bhutanese fare. It's an interesting hotel, with elaborate decor.
