Pros: Like all resorts in Bhutan where i've stayed, this is by the river. Quite close to many sightseeing places in Bhutan. Cons: The Indian food served was OK. The rooms that we were given were small and a little untidy.

The rooms here were lovely, mine was a large suite and had a small balcony overlooking the gardens with poinsettia trees - and no Bhutan dogs within earshot, bliss! Would recommend staying here to anyone - clean, food as good as anywhere we found.

We booked a trip to Bhutan via one of the travel agencies in India. Punakha turned out to be a pleasant surprise mainly due to the amazing resort we stayed at. Large spacious rooms with two king beds for a family of 3. Full length glass windows facing the river. Backdoor to walk towards the river. Dinner turned out to...

Our room was very specious with river view through the large window. River flows almost at the doorstep of this resort. Facilities are very good. The stewardess minutely understood our food requirements and the chef very carefully prepared Indian vegetarian dish to the best of our taste. Hotel staff very cordial and polite. Ambience and surrounding - very impressive.

The location was good, it was just beside the Punakha river and the local market was in a 4 min walking distance. We booked a semi deluxe room but the room was not similar to the photos in their website. It was quite small. Furniture was old and not properly cleaned . WIFI availability was limited to the reception area...

The rooms are not clean. At night there was some noice over our head which were not from human beings. You can guess what it could be. For dinner We could not order what we wanted. We had to take the buffet because there were more than 15 people they said. Of all hotels we had, this was the only...

The rooms we were given were very small and uncomfortable. They ha not made preparations or 3 person in each room although they had been given the requirements well in advance. The resort location and layout was goo. Food was satisfactory

We stayed in 2 adjacent Oval rooms. We arrived at around 2 p.m. there and they could not serve as lunch as their lunch time was over. This is a little different from other places in Bhutan where they are very much flexible with timing based on customer's convenience. Anyways we managed with their snacks menu which has pretty good...

Stayed there during our trip to Bhutan in May 2016. It is wonderful drive to Punakha from Thimphu through the Do chu la pass. You require separate permits to visit these parts of Bhutan - classified as restricted areas - and generally any part of Bhutan other than Thimphu and Paro. These permits can be obtained from Thimphu and not...
