Our property is located just above Mongar town and it’s about a five minutes walk from the Dzong (Fortress). The hotel, designed with a courtyard in the middle allows all rooms to have a great view of the mountains, valleys and farmlands. Mongar town lies on a gentle slope of Bhutan. The region is well known for its cultivation of maize and lemon grass. The locals speak a dialect called “Shar-shop” and they have a tradition of serving “ARA”, a locally brewed alcohol as refreshments to their guests, be it any time of the day.

This hotel is the best in the town of Mongar. The rooms are a good size and have all the facilities you need. However, maintenance is sadly lacking especially in the plumbing department. Our room was 204 with lovely views over the town and surrounding...More
