If you're looking for hermetically-sealed air-conditioned luxury where you can shut out the reality of tropical life when you go back to your room, Mango Bay is probably not for you. On the other hand, if you appreciate an establishment who make every effort to limit their impact on the environment and help support the local community, and you don't... More

What can i say? It was an absolute pleasure staying at Mango Bay. From the moment i got off the plane, there was someone waiting in there to take me through to the resort. My arrival was smooth and check in was easy. My room was upgraded to a bungalow with an outdoor bathroom which was so lovely. I had... More

Too many bugs in bedroom. Bats flying around in room at night. Most nights we had at least 6 very large geckos in our bungalow. These aren't your normal small house geckos.....no.....some are over a foot long!!! Should have netting over the gaps around roof. Very poor water flow throughout the whole stay. So difficult to wash hair. Dirty towels... More

We stayed in this resort for 5 days in our trip to Vietnam and it was all wonderful. Staff was so helpful and the resort was so nice. The view is beautiful and it is an ecologically aware place. It is a little paradise in Phu Quoc island that we will surely get back when we are in Vietnam.

I stayed for 2 nights in Private Bay View villa. Absolutely this was the best room option we had. The villa was nested on top of the hill, in the middle of the jungle with lush greenery bush all around, with beautiful tropical flowers on our doorsteps. We had 2 floors with wooden deck with large sofa, sun loungers with... More

First stop in a short tour of Vietnam, this was the business! Staff are brilliant, food is wonderful, scenery is breathtaking and whole atmosphere is just what we needed after a busy run in at home. Hope to return next year and recommended it to one and all as we met people in Vietnam. Can't speak highly enough of it... More

When me and my girlfriend arrived I had just gotten sick from food poisoning I contracted in Hanoi. The staff at Mango Bay took care of me like I was a relative. Always checking on me, giving me special food to help me feel better and overall being very kind. I was back on my feet 36 hours later and... More

You feel special from the arrival at the airport, at the welcome at Mango Bay, at the Spa, at the restaurant, on the beach, In your bungalow.... and to your departure- and this all with reference to "The Staff" (and this nice spot on Earth :-) The staff appears to really enjoy taking good care of you and their job... We spent 3 nights here. We were a party of 9 that included 3 children - 8, 10 and 12 years old. 6 of us stayed on the Veranda and 3 stayed in bungalows behind us. Unfortunately, we were unable to all stay on the Veranda as the other 2 rooms were previously booked. I would recommend if you were... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This is a low density resort, driven by a passion for the environment, intelligent use of materials, and strong support for island culture. Mango Bay is tucked away off the beaten track, with Vietnam's first rammed earth bungalows, enclosed by beach and protected forest. There are no air-cons, television sets or telephones in the rooms for a true fusion with nature at the island's first eco-friendly resort. All rooms and bungalows have open sea views and offer mosquito nets. ... more   less
