This is a low density resort, driven by a passion for the environment, intelligent use of materials, and strong support for island culture. Mango Bay is tucked away off the beaten track, with Vietnam's first rammed earth bungalows, enclosed by beach and protected forest. There are no air-cons, television sets or telephones in the rooms for a true fusion with nature at the island's first eco-friendly resort. All rooms and bungalows have open sea views and offer mosquito nets.

We just got home after 6 nights at Mango Bay and are already planning our next stay there Big compliments to the staff that have a rare eye for detail and always provided services with a smile The food were amazingly fresh everything you could wish for while staying at a beach resort Rooms were minimalistic desgined with being eco friendly in mind so no mini bar or big AC unit Instead a clever cooling wing above the bed and thermo mini bar filled with ice and drinks to your likings

Hotel's Favorite
Having decided to travel into Vietnam for our holiday this year. We were not disappointed. Phu Quoc and Mango Bay in particular was above our expectations. We had been told that Phu Quoc was one of the only places in Vietnam where you could see the sunset and boy what a fabulous one it was. The fisherman’s seaside villa we stayed in was so natural looking from the outside but the attention to detail inside was perfect. Ceiling fan, floor fan and an air conditioning sheet thing above our bed should we have needed it. Every night the mosquito net was lowered and the four poster bed so comfy with luxury linen and fluffy pillows. The outdoor shower was stunning as it’s lovely to shower amongst pretty plants and birds tweeting. The new spa was stunning with a good choice of treatments. I had a hot stone massage that was the best one I’d ever had so huge bonus points there! Food was amazing serving the same menu in both restaurants over looking the sea, including delicious original cocktails or fruit juice concoctions. Service was very good and the breakfasts full of choices. All in all a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this resort for anyone wanting peace and tranquility with great comfort.

Hippie chic. We had a great time at Mango Bay. And now the beds have high tech air conditioners, there is blissful sleep. If you are sick of 5 star chains but want quality food at reasonable prices and relaxed atmosphere by, you should stay here.

My second visit, same room, same condition and a facelift for the bed, bed cooling system, made our sleep just perfect! Still love the restaurant on the rock, friendly and thoughtful staff took really good care of us! Planning to make an annual visit!

I can't say enough how we appreciated our stay at Mango Bay. We knew we were on to a good thing when the manager at our hotel in Can Tho enthused wildly about it when we said we where we were going. It's a small resort spread out along a rock headland with beaches either side. The resort is constructed so as to blend in with the countryside with everything single story. Our room was a "Superior Verandah Sea View". The rooms look very rustic from the outside, but are quite sophisticated on the inside, even having air conditioning as part of the 4-poster beds (whole room A/C wouldn't work as the rooms are quite open). The beach restaurant was closed when we were there due to Covid-19, but the main restaurant was wonderful, great cocktails (I recommend the passion fruit mojito), and a wide range of specials changing daily. Worth getting there in time for some cocktails watching the sunset before dinner. The staff were worth a special mention, they were fantastic throughout our stay. We were unfortunate to travel just as Covid-19 was really hitting, and had to cut short our stay in Vietnam to get home while we still could. The staff were very accommodating to our frequent changes of plan as flights cancelled on us, and helped us with our travel arrangements. Despite the problems Covid-19 created for everyone they made sure that their guests still had a wonderful stay. We'll be coming back to Vietnam to complete the trip we had planned as soon as it's sensible to travel, and Mango Bay will be top of our list of places to return to.
