Detailed Reviews
We travelled to Pau Quoc with family of 4, and enjoyed very much our 8 nights stay at Regent. The resort is new and it shows: everything is in top condition from furniture, machines, housing etc. The service processes are still a bit rusty but with the superb attitude of the management and service teams, they overcame fast the issues.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom lagoon villa, and I have to say it's the best we have ever had (and we have been in many). Pool was big, all the decoration, design, quality of housing, linen etc was top notch. Villa was so well equipped we could have lived there, as the kitchen and machines were all existing (fridge, washing machine, dish machine, etc).
Breakfast in Regent was served in one restaurant (Rice Market) which was spacious and the variance as well as quality of food at the BF was very good.
We had lunches and dinners basically in 2 restaurants and once in-room:
1) Rise Market has Vietnamese and Chinese style, and there was plenty to choose from. Food was not expensive yet it was excellent. We had twice also food from Oku (steak and omakase) which we could ourselves not enter with the kids (that is the rule). Their food was the best from presentation to taste, and with the rich wine menu we really had memorable dinners by their menu.
2) Ocean Club is a relaxed restaurant with a pool and overlooking the beach. It was the 1st place where we entered on day1 for lunch and we met a fun local service team, who spoke good English and had an excellent way of working thru any obstacles. Hats off to that attitude!
3) in room dining was a special experience for us, as the local chief made us a menu that was then served on site by a person who stayed at the vill over the dinner from starters to deserts. The volume of food that they served was massive, a true Asian style and we were able to finish about half of it. It was tasty and high quality seafood with Vietnamese touch.
We did use the resort pools and gym every day, and they were top notch. Service at poolside worked pretty well, water and towels were served as standard to all guests, and ordering other food and drinks was well processed.
All in all our stay in Regent was top rated. The Experience Managers helped us with many of our requests, some also targeted outside of the resort visiting on boat trips, snorkling, pearl farm and night market. We had one incident with misunderstood reservation, but the team came back with a fix quickly. An extra gratitude goes to the general manager of the resort and his next level managers, who were clearly visible and leading by example the overall team. It created a very friendly and attentive atmosphere for everyone present.
At the departure all family members confirmed that this was the best vacation so far.

Wow! Where to start? Maybe the beautiful reception where we checked in amongst orchids, koi carp and views to the sea over ponds.
We had high expectations for the room but it surpassed all of them; the huge amount of space, the quality private pool, the views to the ocean, fully equipped kitchen, 2 Tvs with Bose, luxurious bathroom and unlimited snacks and drinks.
We had initially only planned to stay 2 nights but immediately extended to 4.
Next to the beautiful beach side pools with neutral water and long swimming spaces. Iced water and towels upon arrival.
The beach is also well kept and I enjoyed paddle boarding and windsurfing, although the water is not super clear.
Breakfast was excellent, and the quick neck massage before entry a great idea. Plenty of choice and good bread and cappuccinos on request. Friendly, efficient staff, but only just coping at busy times (weekend 9am).
‘Lam’ was impressive here; always fast and efficient with zero stress. He got to know our favourite things.
Interesting that the guests were about 90% Asian with very few Westerners, but no doubt the latter will increase as Phu Quoc becomes more well known.
We had an excellent evening meal at the main Rice Market restaurant. Prices for food and drinks at the hotel are high, but the quality is good.
We explored this interesting island quite a bit by bicycle and scooter and loved returning to our wonderful room, always beautifully cleaned and presented.
This really is a stunning hotel where all the staff are highly motivated to help and pamper you. The attention to detail in design and the quality of furniture, equipment, etc is top notch. This level of service is very hard to find in Europe, no matter the price.
Highlights; cocktails by rooftop pool with gorgeous sunset, avocado poached egg toast, small complimentary juices by the pool.
A few small imperfections but these in no way tarnished our stay;
More bicycles needed because it was difficult to secure one most of the time. Also, consider slightly higher quality ones. A mistake many hotels make is not servicing their bikes; i sorted mine as i am an experienced cyclist, (gears, tire pressure) but they should have regular checks by someone who knows what they’re doing.
Shower door opens outwards which seems odd; water easily comes into the bathroom and access is more difficult.
A small noise issue was dealt with quickly and efficiently and the team, thanks Tuyen! helped us change a domestic flight. Tuong was also very helpful with everything.
We can’t wait to come back!

From the moment you step into Regent you are treated like you’ve been coming there for years even though this was my first time. We had a private pool villa and was welcomed with a bottle of billecart champagne for IHG members and chocolates. The cleaning staff think of everything, down to having reading glasses by my bedside table so then providing a cleaning cloth, I could order hair clips to my room - they’ve literally thought of everything. I would come back to phu quoc purely based on this hotel and it’s well worth the money due to the experience you get.
Breakfast as other people have commented is nothing you’ve experienced before, the little rooms and quality of food is the finest.
I noticed previous bad reviews on the check out experience which was not an issue for us and everything was smooth and seamless - so it’s great they are listening to feedback and I hope it’s kept up being a new hotel.
I cannot wait to return and hope they maintain the exceptional service every staff member provides. A special shout out to the breakfast staff.. the amount of thought and effort, especially the pastry guys would have had you up for hours prior to guests arriving to dine and we were still greeted with a warm smile.
I’ve stayed at many hotels that cost a lot more and Regent is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, if I could rate higher I would
Congratulations to all the staff and managers that made everything seamless and no trouble, I cannot wait to come back

One of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in there is tremendous attention to detail. Was actually quite surprised to see the GM helping out his team during breakfast… Sriram the GM was always accessible polite and friendly.. was trying to remember the last hotel where the GM mingled with guests so freely couldn’t remember one.. the food is fabulous, villas are outstanding.. whole heartedly recommend staying here for the place and the really friendly and eager to please staff…

The Regent Phu Quoc is the best place we have ever stayed in our lives.
Its unique location allows you to enjoy from the best sunsets while maintaining a tranquile and discreet atmosphere for the guests.
Their personnel is beyond professional, always giving an extra smile and taking care that we were pampered throughout our whole stay.
We loved our room with ocean view. It was idyllic, chique and exclusive. We were really impressed by the daily complementary drinks and snacks, and we really appreciated the complementary daily laundry service (it helped us a lot as we later departed to further travel in the north of Vietnam).
The food was impecable. The daily breakfast at the Rice Market was the best I have tasted. We also enjoyed the Mediterranean lunch at the Ocean View restaurant at the beachfront.
During our last day, we loved enjoying a cocktail at the Regent Sky Bar, with an immaculate view to the horizon and perfect for us to look at the sunset. We later enjoyed a dinner at the Oku Restaurant, where we had an amazing dinner. We can not avoid giving a shout out to Ky, who was so caring and detailistic. As we were honeymooning, Ky took care that we had the best end to our trip to Phu Quoc.
I honestly cannot get over our stay in The Regent. This place is just excellent and it has make the rest of the hotels of our honeymoon look bad. So thank you Regent Phu Quoc for giving us such a fantastic experience and for raising the bar of what true hospitality really means.

Gosh, where does one begin here? I am in total awe of the levels of service and luxury delivered by this Regent hotel. The grounds are magnificent, the rooms a total heaven of luxury, the services the best of the best.
A few examples
Facilities: The large numerous pools are absolutely immaculate. Beach facilities and service includes suntan lotion and real aloe vira on ice. Aqua di Parma toiletries throughout the resort. All restaurants are an experience of their own and should be experienced. You cannot see any evidence of wear and tear on anything be it a building or a piece of furniture. It’s totally immaculate and an absolute pleasure to enjoy.
Rooms: Beautifully and tastefully decorated with electric curtains, daily refurnished complimentary mini bar which includes San Pelligrino flavoured water, Haribo Bears and top quality French biscuits . We had an outdoor pool which was a delight an an outdoor shower in its own garden. Aqua di Parma scent sticks. The daily cleaning happens as if by magic. Even the charging cables are tidied. Our cosmetics were ever so neatly organized it was amazing. it’s really goes on and on
Staff & Services: Every member of staff is immaculately presented (including the gardening and maintenance teams), ready to answer your needs or questions making you, the guest, their top priority. 1 however deserves extra special praise and it is the breakfast restaurant manager. Fully respected and admired by every single member of his comprehensive team, he always has time to cheer and assist every guest, not afraid to assist his staff, all the time whilst total piece and harmony is performed in the delivering of what is quite a comprehensive and magical breakfast experience. It is no accident the his restaurant appears in the section below ( See ‘Talk amongst the guests’ section)
Best kept secret: Each guest gets a complimentary pair of flip flops you will actually want to wear (Top quality)
Talk amongst the guests: Breakfast. If you thought you had seen it all before, think again. Breakfast here leaves every guest in total amazement at both the choices and the qualities of what’s on offer no matter where in the world you are from.
My top 3 recommendations : Take a cruise on the private yacht for an elevated unique experience, Free bicycle hire around the resort and marina, Free Golf cart transport around the resort at any time, Take in the sunset at the rooftop infinity pool ( Yes I know it’s four but my gosh it’s hard, there is just so much goodness there)
I really could go on and on. In the end there can only be 1 conclusion. You don’t just make memories at this resort, you make lifetime memories and that’s priceless. Thank you to everyone at Regent Phu Quoc for making the magic happen.

I was captivated by the serene and green scenery of the villas, the splendid pool and beach where I enjoyed a breathtaking sunset 🙂 The delicious welcome treats, the sparkling wine and fruits on the coffee table, and the well-stocked pantry satisfied my cravings. I was further amazed by the elegant and thoughtful decor of the rooms, such as the Rehahn coffee table book, the bartender mixing set, and more. I also appreciate that the housekeeping staff left a microfiber cloth next to my sunglasses during the turn down service, anticipating that I might need to clean them. That was very considerate!
Thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for making my stay at the Regent a memorable one! I can’t wait to share my stories and experiences with my colleagues and friends. Looking forward to visit again in the near future!

The regent is truly a 6 star hotel. I am staying at one of best hotels in saigon now and it icant even compare. I stayed in villa 9051 . It was probably 2500 square feet with a plunge pool. it has a kitchen for a private chef to cook meals for you if you desire. All furnishings in the room and throughout the property are of the highest quality, Anyrhing you need is available. Housekeeping cleans your room twice a day and far better than i have seen at the best hotels in the world. The staf to guest ratio is also the highest i have seen. There isnt enough room to tell you how extravagant this hotel is. I asl all my palm beach friends and upper east side friends to come and see for your self. The reason you dont see many reviews is that the property is new and because of the pricing they are trying to be more exclusive than other properties. Lastly the concierge service especially Mai are the best, She helped me get a visa which is difficult if you made it here without one and hope to go to saigon or hanoi. She also helped me get my flights back on singapore airlines at no cost to me when i missed one leg of my flight and singapore airlines cancelled all my flights, Lastly i didnt put my middle name on my vietnam airlines ticket and they were not going to honor the ticket but her and the Regent team at the airport corrected the problem. Oh i forgot i promise you that the selection of food available for breakfast is the best you have ever seen.

We booked into the 2 bedroom sky villa and all I can say is WOW. We walked through the door to the main suite (let’s just call it an apartment coz that’s what it was) and the view was spectacular. Looking out we had our own pool with the most picturesque view of the ocean. Living room was spacious and all furnishings to the highest level. Our bedroom had another view of the ocean which we could enjoy easily each morning by opening curtains remotely from bed. Bathroom was the highest quality and the toilet made me want to purchase a heated one the minute I get back home 🤣 The second bedroom where my girls stayed was equally as big and comfortable and they loved that the mini bar and snacks are free and replenished daily ☺️ Breakfast offered EVERYTHING, too long to list, and the coffee was great. My husband took to the Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk 😊 The service, as expected, was above and beyond from the moment we arrived and nothing was too small a question or task. The concierge organised some trips for us which ran without hitch and were great. My husband and I enjoyed a night at their restaurant Oku for our anniversary and it was exemplary. We also had the best massage at the spa. I cannot say one negative thing about or stay at The Regent. It was everything we were hoping and then some. I could continue to write more of the same but you get my drift. If you are considering staying here I say DO IT. You will not be disappointed.

Had kids menu in all Restaurant
It was a shuttle provided by the Marina, not the hotel. This shuttle has been suspended, unfortunately.
Compared to other resorts of this standard (of which there are few) no we didn’t find it that expensive. Obviously a lot cheaper if you go into town to eat out but the restaurants at the hotel are superb so you should try them if possible
