We spent two nights at the Camellia resort. The accommodation was fine, the staff very friendly. Everywhere was clean. The advantage is a nice swimming pool, which will come in handy after a day's hike. The food was not bad, but the service in the restaurant was unfortunately not good. But I recommend this hotel!

I spent my first night at Camellia. It was a very good choice. The resort is located out of the busy main road or buzzling town. Very quiet. The night was peaceful. The room needs a bit of renovation (old style, humidity) but the bed was very comfortable (vn style) and I loved the pillow. I slept very well. The outdoor is beautiful, and the pool is great. Breakfast was included and the choice was sufficient (no more buffet at the moment probably due to less guests but we still have a few choices à la carte). Staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is not very near but of you have a motorbike (which you need on the island), then it is reacheble within minutes. Overall, it was a great stay for a low price.

We had a fantastic relaxing holiday at the Camia Resort following a very hectic (but enjoyable) touring holiday through Vietnam. The service and help from the staff was excellent from my very early email enquiries through to the very last moment we left the resort. Camia Resort is located at the North-West side of Phu Qhoc consequently it is much quieter than the main central beach/tourist area of the island. Personally we preferred this but it does mean that you have to travel a bit further from the airport (approx 30 mins drive). Camia provided a free shuttle service to and from the airport so our holiday got off to a great start and we had a hassle free journey back. We stayed in the Garden View accommodation at the top of the resort - the room was comfortable and clean, complete with king-size bed, kettle, safe, ensuite shower/bath, fridge, wardrobes and small balcony. The room overlooked the fabulous gardens which are well maintained and regularly watered by the friendly staff. The resort has 2 pools and 2 restaurants - one of each at the main resort opposite reception (manned 24 hours) and also right by the beach which is rocky (no sand) but with easy access to sea via walkway. The sea was really warm in Feb with no litter or seaweed which you often see close to the beach. Note, if you want a sandy beach you will have to travel - we tried to get to Ong Lang nearby but access was restricted and fenced off - we don't know why but think it's being developed by a hotel resort. However, we did venture to the "Red Starfish" beach about 30 mins away which was absolutely fantastic and well worth the trip (about £10 return via local taxi). We stayed on B&B basis. The breakfast at the resort is excellent and the food at the beach restaurant was also very enjoyable although much more expensive than mainland Vietnam, as expected. Free bike hire is available but be warned, they don't have any gears and there is a fairly steep hill back up to the resort. Moped are also available to hire at about £6 per day. Overall, a great resort that we would thoroughly recommend if you want a relaxing, quiet and peaceful break!

My family spent totally relaxing at this wonderful resort. A fabulous location on a small sandy bay. The hotel near to the beach which is clean and nice to enjoy swimming. Their room next to the swimming pool so nice, clean, and special. The tasty food cooked by their professional Chef on dinner and breakfast so amazing. We will back in our next holiday!

Excellent value for money in a great location on the island. Hotel offers good sized rooms with plenty of storage. Great bar/restaurant that operates most of the day and the buffet breakfast is excellent with delicious eggs anyway you like and pho with all the seasonings and veggies you could wish for. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned well everyday and the pool a decent size with good seating areas. A 15min walk to the beach and right in between 2 beautiful ones with lots of restaurants, bars, marts and amenities not too far away. Highly recommend for value for money and location.

For the cost this place is more you can hope for. Well organized, frienly staff, clean room, pool, good breakfast and so on. No doubt that the downside is the location. For me it is not bad. I can walk and don’t mind when I have to. Still you have to think a little before, what you are goong to do. Shop, beach, ATM all require walking. Not much but they do. Transport to airport was a unexpected extra for me. Great servise. I would gladly come again.

We spent a full week at Camellia Resort & Spa and had a good time. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms had all needed amenities as described. The pool was fresh and often fully at our pleasure. Location is a bit off the main road, but surely not a problem as you can walk to nearby restaurants and the beach. Very good value for money. Highly recommended.

Nice hotel, fantastic for the price. Location, we liked it as we had to excerise walking the 15 minutes to the beach. One staff told us it was 7 minutes walk, but the best time we did it in was 15. Having said that, super friendly people, excellent food and price (except the 135k Dong for just 1 chicken wing). They have a good driver Mr Tuan, who by the way can take you to visit Lang Chai for seafood lunch, he was superb. Nice hotel Manager also, who walks around checking with everyone each morning if everything is okay? He should have greater confidence, its great and we will be back.
