I visited this hotel in the past while it was under Dusit Franchise. This time, the hotel change from Dusit to Imperial franchise. So, I decided to stay as this hotel as I have to entertain my client who live near the hotel location. Upon arrival, I found out that the hotel price has been dropped around 10% from the time under Dusit franchise. So, I decided to book Junior Suite for this visit. Upon arrival, it is strange to see the hotel entrance is packed with cars from SUV to Pick Up. The problem is the entrance is on the second floor and the ramp going up is rather high. The entrance has only one bell service person at that time. Therefore, it is not surprise at the slower management of the entering point. Still, the bell service is polite and very professional. The check-in area consist of 2 staff members. They provide a good and polite service. We asked for them to book the Chinese restaurant for us as I have 3 guests coming for a visit. They did a remarkable job to book private room for us. Service wise, they did a very good job. The best part of this hotel is the Chinese Restaurant. We ordered the All You can Eat menu and a few a la carte dishes. The All You can Eat deal is roughly US$12 per person. So, it is very cheap and I rather recommend this as an option. The meal for 5 people including extra a la carte order cost us US$100, which is amazingly cheap for a fine dining. The meals are cheap and tasty. The services are excellent and the waitering staffs are taking really good care for our group. After all positive point, I would like to go for the points those need to be improve. First is the room itself. We choose Junior Suite which cost us THB1,800 (US$60). It is one of the cheapest Junior Suite among First Class Hotels in the world. (Actually, the President Suite still cost below US$100, as it stated on their website). The room is big and providing nice view of Korat City. However, the room need a serious renovation. The bed is large and comfortable, the space and decoration is good. But the wallpaper and the toilet is dated. I saw a crack on the wall inside the bedroom area. The worst part is the bathing area, it is leaking while we have shower. The bath tub is rather small for the modern standard and the water is leaking (uncertain whether it came from bath tub or shower section). If I knew that Junior Suite has not been renovate, I would pay extra to go for Presidential Suite instead. I recalled that the hotel has renovate standard room years ago, while it was under Dusit franchise (as I stayed at a newly renovated room back then). So, I don't understand why the Junior Suite has not been renovated. Apart from the room, we found that the breakfast meal selection and standard has been dropped significantly. The breakfast has less selection and fruit selection has only watermelon for our choice. Comparing the the standard under Dusit franchise, I rather say that the selection has been trimmed down significantly. The bread selection is limited. The hot meal tends to be filled up with boiled rice, fried noodle, fried rice. The Western selection are limited to French toast, sausage, and ham. The egg selections are limited to fried egg, boiled egg, omelet, and Thai style fried egg. The Poach egg and other egg menus has been dropped out as well. Generally, Imperial Korat is one of the best value for money hotel with good service and large room. However, there are a few things they have to improve. I believe many room need to be renovate, the corridor on each floor need to be improve on lighting, the elevator need to be check (on the 6th Floor the button to go down to the ground floor need to be push many time). Price wise, this hotel is still worth for the money you are paying for.

chose this hotel bc of the brand but disappointed. The hotel is so old you wouldnt believe its still operates. everything is broken and worn out. Even the lift button was broken we had to press up button to go down.. The staffs tried to help fix the problems we faced but couldnt help much with the hotel condition. The ac remote control was broken we couldnt sleep bc it was so cold. The toilet broke next morning we had to move to another room. Then faced the same problem.. found out later that this hotel, the ac remote control cannot control the temperature at all. The faucet fell off during shower. The bathtub has very short shower cable you have to sit down while shower. There is NO available power outlet in the room you have to unplug something to plug your charger in. The outlet type is old wouldnt work with most adapters now. The door is thin we could hear people walking and talking outside all the time. If you want a peaceful night stay away from this hotel

I’ve been staying at this hotel for years. Every year I think I’ll try one of the newer hotels in town, but every year I make my reservation at Imperial. The building is a touch old and a bit dated, but that is a small sacrifice to make for the professionalism of the entire staff. The staff makes me feel as if I’m coming home when I walk through the doors. Reception is always polite, professional, and smiling. We frequently use the restaurant for breakfast and the service we receive is top of the line. They remember how we like our coffee and what sauces we want to put on our eggs. I’ve eaten breakfast at a lot of hotels across Thailand; this is easily my favorite one. While the food is good, it is the people who make the experience so pleasant. Very well trained and good at what they do. The restaurant staff always starts our day off great. The rooms could use a few upgrades, but still absolutely no complaints. We stayed for two months and were very comfortable. Housekeeping was always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed; and just like everybody else, always polite and always smiling. The location is also great. There is a night market within a 5-minute walk. Countless restaurants and other food options, a beer bar with live music every night, and a couple 24-hour convenience stores close by as well. A full-sized indoor shopping mall is also within walking distance. Just like every other hotel around the world in 2020/2021, it’s obvious Imperial is having a rough time keeping everything operating normally. It’s been a very bad past year for any tourism related industry. But even with cutbacks to help minimize costs, the entire staff has done an outstanding job keeping the quality of the service top-notch.

I've already reviewed this hotel, but wanted to mention trying the dim sum, and about how going back worked out. To begin, this is an amazing option related to the style and value of the hotel. It looks a bit dated, as a four star hotel from a few decades ago would. The bathrooms have surely been renovated though, because the modern fixturing doesn't match that theme or time period. The breakfast is nice but not as impressive as costlier, higher-tier hotels offer. It's all great for what it is, but if someone is seeking out a true four star experience then paying more and going to a different type of hotel might work better. For value, comfortable feel, pleasant atmosphere, and friendly and helpful staff it's great. Similarly the pool and fitness center were both quite clean, well-maintained, and functional, but on the small side. The dim sum dinner was quite pleasant, even in relation to the average offering in Hong Kong. Again I'm not saying that the range matches well-above average Hong Kong restaurant quality, the best you can find there; it's surely not even close. Compared to what tends to turn up there it's good though.

Stayed for a couple of nights. Booked a junior suite room which was nice and not too pricey (mid-range). Decent location, close to a night market which sold a good selection of food. Breakfast was very limited, breakfast room poorly staffed (had to ask for someone to attend the egg station). Spa was not open which was a real shame as it was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel in the first place. No mention of that being closed on the website when I made the booking. All-in-all was OK but will likely look for an alternative place next time we are in the area.

This hotel when it was built 20 or 30 years ago was doubtless the best hotel in town. Sadly for it, Korat has moved on and has a clutch of more modern hotels. The rooms are a decent size and clean. It appears that the bathrooms have been re-fitted in recent years as has some of the furniture, but the whole is slightly faded. The breakfast was typical of a Thai 3 star hotel, though eating dinner there was a somewhat dispiriting experience, the price of the food being "full" - unlike the plates. The grounds are mostly at the front and side, adjacent to a very busy road. The "beer garden" adjoins the road and is thus not a place to sit for a "quiet" drink, unless one wishes to shout above the traffic noise. We booked the hotel on the basis of the "Executive Lounge" on the 7th floor. It became immediately apparent that there has either never been a lounge on that floor or it was long ago converted to accommodation. The "Lounge" was instead a small, dark room - lights were always switched off - behind the reception with three chairs in it and a non-working coffee machine. Given that we paid a premium price for this facvility, we were not impressed. There are newer, better hotels in Korat, and moved ourselves instead to the Kantary.

I tend to usually rate favorable hotels as 4 (dots?) because something could always be improved, but this one surpassed a lot of expectations, and included great value as a strength. The look / feel is a little dated, like a decades old 4 star hotel version, but beyond that all the interior, room, bathroom facilities, pool, outdoor areas, etc. were all really well maintained, and staff were as friendly and professional as they could be. The included breakfast buffet was better than versions tend to be in a moderate cost price range. Location also seemed fine, rooms were spacious; there really wasn't much of a downside. Even that dated look I loved; in a setting that's beautiful and well-maintained it comes across as classic instead of just old.

This hotel was charming. While the hotel definitely had charm from a past era and fashion, the bathrooms had been updated and were really lovely. The service at hotel was friendly and they even make some free photocopies for us using their machine. The bed was very comfortable, the hot water was hot. The location was fantastic, just a few minutes walk to a fantastic night market with an amazing array of food. Check out was easy and quick. Would recommend and would stay again. We didn't have breakfast so I can not comment on that.
