The Vansari Hotel is an absolute gem in Bali. A small hotel with 5 rooms per level across 3 floors. All face the pool and those on the ground floor are about 3 steps from the water. The hotel is on a busy road but being 40m down the driveway there is next to no traffic noise in the rooms. There are a couple of roosters in the gardens on the other side of the driveway and they have strong volume, but when your balcony doors are shut it is not much of a problem. The rooms (we had 3) all appear to have aircon, a TV, a safe, kettle, ensuite, wifi etc. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced. Beach towels were freely available on request from reception. The reception appeared to be staffed pretty much 24/7. The breakfast is provided by Blooms Cafe about 2 minutes walk, if that, and you are given vouchers if breakfast is included in your booking (and I recommend you take that option). They have an excellent breakfast menu for the Vansari voucher but for 25k ($2.50) you can upgrade to the normal 'public' menu if you want. The food was very good and the service super friendly. The Vansari Hotel is not an expensive 5 star resort, it is a small boutique hotel with very friendly staff, it's clean and comfortable enough, and exceptional value for the price. (one tip - if your taxi driver is not sure where it is - pronounced FunSareee apparently - just ask to go to the Bintang Supermarket and it is about 80m away). Thanks to the Vansari staff for a great stay (and for organising a late check out for one of my sons)

It’s in a quiet location down a small lane off the main strip, two minute walk and your among all the shops—of which there are plenty, restaurants and bars are also plentiful. The rooms are not huge the large comfy bed takes up most of the space, but you get a small hanging space,a desk, fridge and a kettle,a safe and a tv,we were on the first floor so had a good sizes balcony over looking the small pool and very lush garden. The bathroom is big,and a good powerful shower, and we always had plenty of hot water. The room was clean although the towels and bedding were clean they had seen better days.We had read that the beach is about fifteen minutes walk but our experience was nearer forty minutes,we are in our sixties so may be that and the searing heat and humidity was the reason we took longer ! The breakfast is served in a lovely restaurant just a two minute walk away, and I have to say it was delicious,we especially enjoyed the corn fritters with avocado and poached eggs, the staff at both the hotel and the restaurant are extremely pleasant and very helpful.I would recommend this hotel for a peaceful happy stay.

Quiet, small 15 room stay. Tucked away 50 metres from the main drag of semiyak, super discreet, but only 1 minute walk from Bintang supermarket. Value for money is excellent. Staff are super friendly, helpful and generous. They provide a clean pool to swim in, king size bed, very clean rooms, late check out upon request, hotel transfers to where ever you may need, and scooter hire if needed. I highly recommend this place. A 3 level complex with 5 rooms at each level.Very affordable stay which is staffed 24 hours. Get on board and check it out.

What a lovely gem of a hotel in the perfect location - terrific value for money. We booked this hotel via booking.com and had great communicationprior to our arrival, they even arranged airport pick up service which was brilliant. This small hotel is in a wonderful location for shops, restaurants and short walk to the beach. The Bintang Supermarket is a few minutes walk away if you need any provisions. As the hotel is located down a small driveway, you escape all the noise of the traffic on the roads. Hotel staff are very friendly and happy to help with any enquiries. There are beach towels, iron and hair dryer available from reception at your request. We had a poolside room which was great value for money and ticked all the boxes - large comfy bed, nice shower in wet room, small kitchenette with fridge, tv and Wi-Fi in room. Breakfast was provided in a local cafe at the end of the driveway - you present a voucher from the hotel and get a selection of freshly made breakfasts with fruit juice or coffee (I loved the American pancakes and fruit). I'd love to return to this hotel on our next trip to Bali.

I guess that in reviewing anything the main issue is ‘value’; are you getting good value for your dollar? At this hotel the answer, to me, is yes, definitely. Just how much can you expect for AU$40 a night? I had asked for, and was fortunate to get, a poolside room. The room has a little verandah with table and chair. The room itself is not huge but perfectly adequate with king-size bed, firm but that’s ok. I note that all the linen is a slightly beige colour- I don’t think it started that way, just well-used, but clean! I don’t think any linen, sheets or towels, was changed in 5 days? There is a small dressing table area with stool and a small ‘kitchenette’ area with sink, fridge and the world’s slowest boiling kettle and a very small selection of tea and coffee (which was not replenished in my 5 night stay but they were happy to provide more when asked). The bathroom has a shower, plenty of good-pressure hot water. Alas no shower screen so, following the shower, almost the entire bathroom was soaked which is a little inconvenient. TV has about 40 channels including the usual world news ones. I felt that the room would be ‘lifted’ with a new lick of paint, it showing a few ‘bruises’ of the ages! The pool (8m x 3.5m) garden courtyard has a small number of lounges- can get a bit congested sometimes. The hotel is set well back from the main road so it is very quiet and it is really well located in a busy part of Seminyak (30 – 60 minutes from the airport depending on traffic) with lots of quality restaurants in walking distance. Another good thing is that it’s about 150 metres down from the big Bintang Supermarket for anything you might want- this is a landmark that all taxi drivers know… to get you home- they may well not know where the Vansari Hotel is. I belatedly accepted to pay for the $7/day breakfast which is served in the ‘Bloom Restaurant’ nearby on the main road. They offer an a la carte choice of about 5 things with tea (black) OR coffee OR orange juice although the restaurant offers a much wider choice to other paying customers. Yes, you can’t expect much for $7… I wasn’t really that taken with what was on offer and instead took a 15 minute stroll to the ‘Shelter’ café for great breakfast choices (lots of healthy ones too) each morning. Remember, arriving in Bali and taking a taxi- come out of immigration/customs, turn left take a lift up to ‘departures’ on the top floor and take a meter taxi (in Bali always ask: “is this a ‘meter’ taxi”- I think they’re all fitted with meters but some drivers are inclined not to use them and instead want to charge a better (for them!) fare!) from one dropping off a departing passenger, lots cheaper than the ‘official’ airport taxi rank at ‘arrivals’. Taxi to Seminyak is about $7-8. Quite happy with the Vansari- not ‘swish’ but good value and obviously popular as a consequence.

We stayed here for 4 nights as a couple and I can honestly say we did not want to leave! This place is small and cosy but has everything you need and the location is great for everything you need in seminyak. We walked everywhere, with the beach only a 10-15 minute walk and restaurants/bars even nearer. Close enough to the hustle and bustle but also back from the main road so no noise at night. Pros: - This hotel has a lovely little pool with sunloungers/beanbags for the days that you want to just chill out with the sun being on this area majority of the day. - Rooms are fairly small but they were perfectly fine for us still lots of storage, comfy bed, TV, etc, clean and airy with a lovely balcony/terrance looking onto the private pool area. - Rooms get cleaned every day with fresh towels/water/bedding. - The air con is good. - Staff are really friendly and always on hand at the reception to help with anything. - Breakfast is included- You get a voucher to eat at the cafe ‘bloom’ for breakfast each day of your stay and the food here is lovely! Well worth it. - Lovely hot water in shower that never went cold with good water pressure. - Safe in room to use for added security. I honestly have no negatives to say about this hotel and would recommend to anybody!😊

I gave 4 instead of 5. Because there was a booking problems. I booked from tiket com ( since there are 2 type of rooms available: sari room (standard room) and deluxe king bed ) - just those 2. When i arrived at the hotel. They said i booked from agoda and paid for a standard room. For starting day in bali. It was not a good day. Because i didnt paid a higher amount for staying in standard room. They said the deluxe room is only when you book from app with writing (pool access) in which when i book there’s no pool access writing . Just those 2. But the manager good enough put me in deluxe room but only for 3 days. And the rest i have to stay in standard room. I didnt want to argue because i dont want my holiday ruined. I just disappointed. For 2 last day in which i stayed in standard room while i paid for deluxe room. (Deluxe king bed and standard room is different in price) even the manager said the bed in standard is king. But is not. Is queen. Clean hotel, friendly staff. Im just disappointed with the booking. Other than that it was okay for me.

Lovely little budget hotel. Basic room and far away from road that you don’t get the fumes and with doors closed, the traffic can not be heard. Great location too with shops and restaurants close by, including the Bintang supermarket. Wifi is great most of the time and has good Foxtel (Wimbledon was on and when I was in the room, could watch the matches). Pool is small but refreshing, staff are lovely. There are chickens next door so the roster can be annoying if you are a light sleeper.
