Detailed Reviews
The Vansari Hotel is an absolute gem in Bali. A small hotel with 5 rooms per level across 3 floors. All face the pool and those on the ground floor are about 3 steps from the water. The hotel is on a busy road but being 40m down the driveway there is next to no traffic noise in the rooms. There are a couple of roosters in the gardens on the other side of the driveway and they have strong volume, but when your balcony doors are shut it is not much of a problem. The rooms (we had 3) all appear to have aircon, a TV, a safe, kettle, ensuite, wifi etc. Rooms were cleaned daily and towels replaced. Beach towels were freely available on request from reception. The reception appeared to be staffed pretty much 24/7. The breakfast is provided by Blooms Cafe about 2 minutes walk, if that, and you are given vouchers if breakfast is included in your booking (and I recommend you take that option). They have an excellent breakfast menu for the Vansari voucher but for 25k ($2.50) you can upgrade to the normal 'public' menu if you want. The food was very good and the service super friendly. The Vansari Hotel is not an expensive 5 star resort, it is a small boutique hotel with very friendly staff, it's clean and comfortable enough, and exceptional value for the price. (one tip - if your taxi driver is not sure where it is - pronounced FunSareee apparently - just ask to go to the Bintang Supermarket and it is about 80m away). Thanks to the Vansari staff for a great stay (and for organising a late check out for one of my sons)

It’s in a quiet location down a small lane off the main strip, two minute walk and your among all the shops—of which there are plenty, restaurants and bars are also plentiful. The rooms are not huge the large comfy bed takes up most of the space, but you get a small hanging space,a desk, fridge and a kettle,a safe and a tv,we were on the first floor so had a good sizes balcony over looking the small pool and very lush garden. The bathroom is big,and a good powerful shower, and we always had plenty of hot water. The room was clean although the towels and bedding were clean they had seen better days.We had read that the beach is about fifteen minutes walk but our experience was nearer forty minutes,we are in our sixties so may be that and the searing heat and humidity was the reason we took longer !
The breakfast is served in a lovely restaurant just a two minute walk away, and I have to say it was delicious,we especially enjoyed the corn fritters with avocado and poached eggs, the staff at both the hotel and the restaurant are extremely pleasant and very helpful.I would recommend this hotel for a peaceful happy stay.

New small hotel (14 rooms) located down a short quiet gang off JL Seminyak.
3 mins walk to Bintang Supermarket and 5 min walk to Camplung Tunduk. About a 15 min walk to the beach, but why walk when you can get a scooter taxi for $2.
The rooms are lovely and large, very clean. Has safe, wardrobe, small fridge, coffee making appliances and clothes horse on patio/balcony for wet swimmers and towels (nice touch)
Also great cold air con and nice bathroom (no bath) and super king bed, that is very comfortable.
The breakfast is good and can be eaten around the pool or in the restaurant.
Pool is small but clean and sufficient and as there is only 14 rooms, never crowded.
But what make this place great ( besides the cheap rate ) is the staff! So friendly and personable but never intrusive and Yogi the manager is a credit to this hotel.
Can not wait to return

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our trip around Bali. Lovely hotel very clean, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included which had loads of choice lots of it and all very tasty! Great location just off the Main Street and only a 15 minute walk to the beach. Great swimming pool a quiet and relaxing way to end our busy trip. Perfect for anyone wanting a quiet hotel but near all the hustle and bustle.

Stayed here for two nights and reserved the rooms via booking.com. The reservations were non-refundable but the rates were dirt cheap for being less than 100 meters from Jalan Raya Seminyak, aka the street with lots of boutiques. That was the primary reason why I chose this hotel.
The room I got was on the second floor so had to lug my suitcase up the stairs while the front desk staff just showed me to my room. Wasn’t really impressed with the toilet as it looked grungy and when I passed by the bed, the bedsheets were stained and grey while the towels were grey and looked like rags.
The balcony was actually the saving grace of the room as the hanging trellis gave a sense of privacy for the lounging area. They also rent scooters for IDR 70k and while the rental rate was a tad pricey, the bike was well maintained.
TV has lots of good channels when you’re too lazy to go out. Breakfast was at the nearby restaurant called “Peppermint” but only ate there for dinner once and breakfast once. If you like carbs, then you’ll love the menu as they offer pancakes, waffles and rice.
Soundproofing: the only noise is from other rooms and loud travellers. Sounded like an elephant stomping on my ceiling one night and it turned out to be a bunch of drunk backpackers coming back from a rager. Also heard the slamming of the closet doors from other rooms.
If the hotel upgraded their toilets, purchased new towels/linen and improved their soundproofing, it’d be excellent.

A great little hotel in the heart of Seminyak, on the main road but set back so you get the convenience of the closeness without the noise. The hotel is modern and well fitted out, with a nice pool and a great little seating area on the balcony. It was pretty cheap too, definitely worth the price. I traveled solo so these things didn't bother me, but sharing the room would've been a little uncomfortable due to the following reasons:
Bed takes up most of the room so there is little floor space; only 1 seat on the balcony; minimal power points; because of the minimal floor space, there isn't much room for luggage to be left around; no beside lights; no shelving in bathroom.
These factors can certainly be overlooked and the rest of it makes up for it! The hotel is lovely, staff are friendly, it's clean, showers are super hot, great little pool and yummy breakfast. I had a great time here, and although I won't be returning to Bali again, I would recommend to stay here.
10-15mins walk to beach, 1 min to shops/restaurants/supermarket, 30min drive from the airport.

Dear Laura,
Warmest greeting from Vansari Hotel Seminyak.
We are sorry, we just have type of bed that deluxe king bed.
Thank you and if you have any other question please don't hesitate to contact us :)
No, it’s a small hotel and rooms are tiny. I certainly would not enjoy noisy kids arounds here.
Not suitable for children, lovely quiet boutique hotel. More suited for couples or solos. Too small to accommodate noisey children would definitely disturb other guests
