We are currently staying at the Samaya and we are loving it! After we spent a week here in August, this is already our second stay at the Samaya since the re-opening of Bali. The hotel takes great precautions regarding the pandemic situation: all employees are wearing masks at any time, we witnessed disinfection taking place several times and it’s simply the nature of a private villa resort (with private pools), that you don’t have much contact with other guests. But even if you would, all public areas are outdoor and right in front of the beach with a constant breeze - so even if it would be packed and no one would wear masks, I am pretty sure the infection risk would be close to zero. And of course at this time you are able to score some sweet deals, you normally wouldn’t. Aside from the current situation this is just a lovely resort. Right at the beach with amazing sunsets. The villas are very beautiful, spacious (especially the gigantic bathrooms) and tastefully decorated. We stayed both times at a royal courtyard pavilion which i can recommend as they are located right at the resorts public pool and closest to the beach. The staff is amazing. Very attentive and service driven, but most of all very warm hearted. I stayed in hotels with even higher service standards but not often, if ever, I felt so warmly welcomed. I haven’t written a hotel review in a couple of years and I am writing this one foremost to support this great team! A special thanks to Karmaya, who was very accommodating during our first stay!

My husband and I returned to the Samaya for our 2nd stay after many trips to Seminyak. It’s our absolute favourite place to stay and very hard to top this hotel. We stayed during a difficult time of the Covid-19 virus taking hold all over the world and tourism in Bali suddenly declining. But the staff at the Samaya were so amazing, they had smiles on their faces every day and still could not do enough to ensure we had the best week holidays possible. We hope that we can return to enjoy a stay with you again after the pandemic and hope all your loyal customers are waiting to return. The accommodation, grounds, service, food, absolutely everything is first class and I cannot recommend enough.

We stayed here in October and it was hands down one of the best (if not the best) places we have ever stayed. The suites are generous, the private pool is a real treat, the service was impeccable and the icing of top was the option to have breakfast at any time of day. The Samaya know how to do tasteful luxury and it deserves full stars.

It was truly an amazing experience and one of the best holidays at this resort . We were greeted by the assistant resort manager at the reception who always came around during breakfast time to make sure everything was OK during our entire stay at this resort. We had a dedicated butler everyday who would check with us every morning for any special requirement or information on visiting any places in Bali. We had two private villas with pool next to each other with its completely private pool area, lounge and spacious bedroom with huge bath with its own TV and two showers. The breakfast served at the Breeze restaurant was served fresh every morning and you can order from the menu. It was really refreshing every morning at the breakfast time with the view of Seminyak beach. We were also served afternoon tea either at the Breeze restaurant or at our room. I used the gym couple of times which you can go either by walking or buggy from the reception. We used the Spa service which was really refreshing, definitely recommend using this service. The hotel staff without exception made us feel very welcome and at home and the level of service was without fault. I will definitely return one day.

We hold the Samaya in the highest regard, as my previous reviews for it obviously show, but the key for us is that it has never let us down - this must have been our 6th or 7th time staying here in the last few years and it continues to deliver...…..from the moment Sri communicated with me as usual to lock the booking down, to Karmaya and the whole team (too many to mention them all individually) making sure all our needs were always met. Like we did again this time, we often meet friends from Europe there and it is always nice to see their reactions when they arrive and during the stay. Needless to say we always know they too will be looked after. The familiar faces are still there (other than Ray the old GM unfortunately - as he was a real livewire), the rooms continue to delight, the facilities superb and the service impeccable. Looking forward to our next time.
