Within seconds you leave behind the noise and chaos for the Seminyak of 20-30 years ago Lush gardens, a perfect pool and beachfront, rooms scattered across the property in groups of four, and amazing service... You only have to look at a beach chair for attendants to appear with towels, water and a flag you raise when you want a drink or food... If you need fresh milk for your tea (very rare in Bali), room service, fresh towels or bags collected, ring reception and they appear in minutes on a golf cart... The breakfast is superb, and the location can’t be beat – right next to the beach... Rooms are not big by Bali standards, but nicely kitted out with a decent bathroom... You can easily grab a taxi to head into town, or walk – the main shopping street is just 10-15 minutes away, and many of the best restaurants can be reached by walking along the beach... There’s even a decent coffee place close by (Local Coffee), just a few minutes away if you sneak out the staff car park entrance... We stayed in an entry level room, and it was perfect, but if you want to step it up there are numerous villas with full kitchens and private pools...

...From the welcome at the airport, to the smooth transfer, the welcome when we arrived and then throughout our stay everything without doubt was fabulous... The resort is like an oasis, in the centre of Seminyak its busy and noisy but as soon as you come through the gates serenity descends... The gardens and pool area are beautifully kept the ‘green team’ work exceptionally well and hard keeping them especially if it rains and is windy when the trees lose leaves and flowers!... The Lanai rooms are perfect and we loved our sea view one...

...The Oberoi Hotel is set in beautiful gardens right on the beach at Seminyak. The Hotel facilities and surrounds are meticulously cared for and the hotel guests are welcomed warmly and treated with respect and careful consideration ... Breakfast at Frangipani Cafe overlooking the ocean... Days spent poolside and the occasional swim in the ocean, complete with flagged safe swimming area and lifeguards... The staff are friendly yet formal and the service is first class throughout...

This glorious property is a as magnificent as ever. During the shutdown the acres of exquisite gardens and villas have been meticulously maintained... Our villa was pristine with attention to detail such as a candle in the bale, an orchid in the bathroom, a bottle of wine in a cooler and the teapot I had requested... Every attentive and professional staff member greets you so warmly and makes you feel special... The breakfasts overlooking the beach are delicious... The tranquility of the gardens and the sound of the waves on the beach belies the proximity of Seminyak’s shops and restaurants...

...The Oberoi was outstanding - we relaxed, laughed and totally enjoyed. We were lucky enough to have a villa room with its own private pool - I would totally recommend this if you have the opportunity - such a spacious room, then more space with the privacy of the pool and also a verandah with partial sea view... The Hotel is easy to get around, the grounds are clean and very well presented with easy beach access... Breakfast is eaten in the outdoor cafe area overlooking the sea and the staff are exceptional and charming... I could not fault this Hotel and I would actually return to Bali to stay at this Hotel in the same room... Well done Oberoi Bali you have such professional but relaxed staff it was such a special stay...

This charming resort is set in sprawling gardens, offering comfortable charming rooms with the most extraordinary service. This is true luxury in all sense of the word... I found my room the quality of cleanliness , comfort and smiling thoughtful staff unbeaten in my 50 years of staying in luxury hotels...

...There wasn’t a warmer welcome close to midnight. We found the room just as charming as 6 years ago... We loved the meticulously looked after grounds, the old temples, charming ponds and beautiful flowers adorning the 15 acres... The pool life was complete with attentive service, snacks, afternoon tea and delicious food... Kura Kura restaurant was just perfect...
