I stayed here with my mum for 2 nights 13th - 15th March. We were treated like absolute queens. Absolute best hotel we’ve stayed in to date, if recommend the queen to stay here. *Room* We got upgraded by reception to a Spa Villa (I think it’s called that?) where we had the entire Villa to ourselves. It had a huge double bed with a mosquito net around it, loads of amenities such as bath salts, bags, toothbrushes, hygiene sets and many more. We had an outside lounge area with a kitchen, sofa, TV, private pool, deck chairs & sun beds. The room was beautiful. Not only was there cleaning throughout the day, there was also a “close down service” where they came to put the mosquito nets down, spray mosquito repellent and have a last clean. The room was beautifully cleaned and always smelt incredible with all the incense around. I’ve attached photos below. *Service* Stupidly we completely forgot to get everyone’s names, however the entire team deserve a mention. Every single person who worked there made our stay special. The lady in reception was so kind and really tried to help us as much as she possibly could, this ranged from sorting my SIM card out to upgrading us to reminding us to book the complementary massage. The cleaners did an amazing job cleaning our room making it spotless and always adding the little touches, like different fruit to our table. The waiters in the restaurant were always kind and helpful and delivered our food pretty much immediately. The relaxation team including the masseurs and the lady doing the Tibetan singing bowl meditation were all lovely and very professional in their roles. The security guard was always there to help us and would say hello and make conversation whenever we saw him. We honestly felt like we were being treated like royalty, it was amazing. Please thank them all so much from us. *Food* We only had breakfast here, but the menu selection was enormous, and we could choose so much of the menu! There was a selection of Balinese, Western and various Asian foods to choose from. Everything was delicious. We were left with little food baby’s, but that’s okay, it was delicious. (We’d recommend the breakfast smoothie bowls). *Relaxation* We decided to go to the free Tibetan Singing Bowl meditation one evening which was so relaxing I think I dozed off a few times 🙈. It left us feeling like we were floating. It was only us 2 in the class, which made it even better. We had a conversation with the lady afterwards about current affairs which was really lovely too to hear from the Balinese perspective. Would recommend! We also took up the 15 mins complementary massage (however couldn’t extend to an hour because we ran out of time). They ended up giving us a nearly 25 min massage which was the best we’ve ever received. They seemed to know all the spots that needed massaging and applied the perfect pressure. Really really good. *Location* This is located a road out of Seminyak town so is very tranquil, and a 5 min walk away from all the shops and restaurants. Seminyak itself, we found, was pretty boring. Other then shops, restaurants and a beach (20 mins away, that you have to pay for sun beds on), there’s not much else to do unless you take a trip up to Ubud. If you’re just here for the hotel, then stay here!! But if you want to see more of Bali, only stay here for a couple days, then go to Ubud. *Overall* Sorry for the long review, this hotel was absolutely incredible and we could not recommend it enough. Please thank every team member for it :).…
Who would believe that in the hustle and bustle of Seminyak is this gem of a hotel. The hotel is beautifully set out and amazingly quiet, a wonderful peaceful setting for anybody wishing to get away from it all. The hotel staff were extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There are renovations going on, but this didn't disturb us at all. We had a pool villa, so private and the pool was absolutely heavenly to dip into after a hot day. Great hotel.
Absolutely stunning place to stay, staff are the friendliest I’ve ever met, rooms are beautiful. Loved all the extra touches, the hotel car, the complimentary mini bar and lots more. Food was excellent and very well presented with a great selection. Loved the cooking class. Would definitely recommend and return. Terima Kasih Amala
We were very warmly greeted on arrival and upgraded to a spa room, what a wonderful start to our stay in Bali!! Spotlessly clean and breakfast was good too, beautifully prepared food to order with a huge selection to suit all tastes. We can highly recommend the cookery class on site with the hotels wonderful experienced chef. Will definitely be trying to recreate the dishes when we get home. While the hotel is a half walk to the beach, the hotel chauffeur will gladly take you anywhere you want to go in Seminyak. We went to the beach a few times and found our way back which gave us the opportunity to explore areas we otherwise wouldn’t have. So many shops and restaurants within a stones throw of the hotel, it’s easy to find whatever you want or need. Would highly recommend, thank you Amala team for taking such good care of us.…
My husband and I visited the Amala on our Honeymoon; spending 4 nights here. The resort is modern, fresh and constantly being maintained. On arrival they were just finishing off a new wellness suite! We had a spa villa during our stay and it was wonderful! (There were some light touch ups that needed to be done i.e. decking a little broken, shower a little wobbly and so on... general room maintenance) BUT it was a gorgeous room. The bed was very comfortable and the room extremely spacious. The added touch of a different fresh fruit each day was lovely. With the addition of the turn down service (which we didn’t know was offered!) we had a wonderful 4 nights sleep! On our first night we enjoyed the couples candle lit dinner for two in our village and we cannot fault a thing. The decoration was beautiful and the dinner was delicious! We were also fortunate enough to book a couple cooking class and WOW! The chef (teacher) and food were outstanding. It was a wonderful experience and such a great way to spend the afternoon. The spa at the Amala was sensational! I opted for the Golden Spoon facial and couldn’t have chosen better. With drinks provided and a relaxing, calming atmosphere it was a lovely way to spend our first day in Seminyak. If you are looking for somewhere to escape the outside world and be with the person you are travelling with this resort is the one for you. You can go out or simply spend the day relaxing by your own private pool! The resort is a 15 min walk from Seminyak beach and we found it quite easily. You can get a taxi (blue bird only!) but the walk is just fine. The staff are kind, easy to talk to and go the extra mile!…
