Great guest house for overnighting. The rooms are basic all that you need. Dinner was served early as I was tired, thanks The owners go out of their way to help you. Thanks for the early breakfast. Thanks Dave
What a lovely, quaint, and comfortable guesthouse hidden in the streets of Wellington. Mattie was just so attentive and hospitable. We had a quick dip in the pool to cool off from the (already) hot day and relaxed by the pool. It was so peaceful and pure bliss. We met a man (Crazy Dave) who is running from Nelspruit to Cape Town in 40 days and it was just so cool to have met such a person in a Gem in Wellington! The beds were super comfortable, air conditioning cooled the room down and the area is so peaceful that we HAD to go for a little stroll. The breakfast was proper Farm style mince on toast with eggs: really delicious and homely! We could have stayed for hours chatting to Mattie! When we are in Wellington again, we will certainly return! Business or leisure: this is a must visit.…
Stayed over while attending a nearby wedding on one of the wine farms. We had a small baby with us and they were able to provide a camp cot. The manageress was very hospitable and made our stay quite comfortable. Breakfast was available on request at an additional charge and was delicious. Coffee was delicious. The weather didn't allow us to make use of the outdoor facilities, but they seemed well-maintained.
This is a perfect guesthouse in a central location to explore the Cape Winelands. Our family of 4 (2 adults & 2 adult children) stayed in the self-contained units for 7 nights during December 2017/Jan 2018. The guesthouse is well appointed, including air-conditioning, comfortable befs, same day laundry service, barbeque facilities, safe on-site parking and out-door relaxing areas. The hospitality of Mattie and her team were exceptional. We can definitely recommend the guesthouse and planning to use the guesthouse as our base for future visits to the Cape Winelands.
Stayed in this little gem of a B&B for two nights during the week, Wednesday and Thursday whilst on a business trip. My room was in the front, with large windows that have wooden shutters to block out the light and the sweltering heat. The aircon was blissful to say the least!! My bed was super comfy. As the Western Cape is currently experiencing a massive drought, the B&B is in line with water saving measures, so the pool is a NO GO!! Understandably. Ina was our host over the time there and must commend her for her professional manner. Nothing was too much for her and she is most willing to please her guests. Little things I requested, she went out of her way to make sure I was happy. Her breakfasts were AMAZING too, a BIG thank you to Ina for being such a super star. The grounds in general are very pretty, and although you may not swim, just sitting in the pool area was wonderfully relaxing. This is a 3 star B&B, no smoking is allowed inside. There is a kettle in the room to make coffee / tea and a little bar fridge to keep your things cold. I would HIGHLY recommend this little gem in Wellington to leisure travelers too!…
