Arrived - only to find out that the big fireplace in the lounge/living area cannot be used. When we asked why, the answer was - and this is the kicker - that "it has never worked," "no one has complained before." This was one of the big attraction and reasons we booked this place. No aircon remotes either. No wine glasses. I asked that the manager call me in order to discuss. Some pseudo "representative" called me back (we were a group of 15) asking to speak to the person that signed the forms at reception. The more I kept telling that the "representative" was busy and that he could speak to me, the more he kept losing his temper, shouting and eventually threatening to remove me/us from the premises. (Big-shot over the phone). Did not even take the time to listen to our concerns. We also ran out of water the next morning, so none of us could shower etc.... All and all, money NOT WELL spent.

This is a lovely little place to stay, beautiful views from the rooms, lovely little pool and terrace and the staff were really nice too. Very good value for money too. We didn't have breakfast as the person who cooks it wasn't in for the three days we were there but there is a really nice cafe in wellington we went to. I would recommend.

Very helpful and accommodating! We were left to our own devices and it was perfect. Didn’t get breakfast but sure we’ll get it when we return. Lovely find! We booked for a wedding but will be returning for our anniversary.

Booked through Safari, payment made, on arrival from a Johannesburg waiting outside gate for two hours, guests were taken in while premises were under restoration, changed owners. Guests were booked into a room with used linen, no water, had to go and fetch water in a bucket from a nearby dam to wash themselves. Paid R9000 in advance for 3 people for a week. They left the following day and up till today no refund received and no response from either of them.Safari and Bakkies B & B full of excuses. Totally bad service from Safari as well as Bakkies B & B

On arrival @ 14:00 our rooms were not ready for occupation. We booked 2 Family rooms and got 1 plus another small room. Not what I had paid R 1600 for the night. Airconditioners did not work and temps were 36 to 38 C. Remote for aircon in 1 room missing. Had to share gate remotes as well. Will not pay more than R 400 per unit.
