Our family of 10 enjoyed a wonderful stay at this outstanding resort. Right from booking the caravan sites and the chalet (for our parents) to the day of departure, we were treated royally by owner and manager Stuart. Despite being fully booked and having to run around after his guests, Stuart remained (mostly) cool, calm and collected, and attended to... More

Our Garden Lodge was all clean and shiny on arrival, and spiffed up again the following day by 2 friendly staff members. The service by staff is great, you really don't have to do anything. Our 2 children aged 5 and 11 enjoyed the park-setting and swimming pool, and quickly made a bunch of friends. Being situated at Groenvlei (Lake... More

Wonderfull camping site with good facilities. Close drive to the nearest beach. Good family camping site. Nice and quiet. The N2 can be a bit noisy but you get used to it very quick! Maybe a pathway from the batrooms would be nice!

Camping at Lake Pleasant leaves the visitor with options from the well-lit central area to the wilder perimeters. The area is beautiful, and bordering the Goukamma Nature Reserve means that there is just enough wilderness and wildlife to tantalise without being too scary. On the campsite I saw a tame tortoise, meerkat, guinea fowl family and hadeda - in addition... More

We visited the Lake Pleasant Resort this January and stayed in one of their spacious chalets. The property is a beautiful setting of lovely old garden, palm trees and flowers everywhere. The hotel, the chalets, the camping grounds and villas are so well strewn over the grounds, that you will have your privacy and not have to walk far to... More

It's important to note which accommodation is being rated at Lake Pleasant as there is quite a range. This review refers to the wooden chalets (distinct from the hotel, garden cottages or camping). The setting is great - natural foliage and forested surrounds, which makes this a tranquil place to stay. Children are free to explore the resort. Ours were... More

Beautiful property, close to nature... We were put up at Chalets and loved the rooms, very spacious with the works. The staff was very efficient and helpful and on their toes to serve us. Had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.
