We recently booked and spent five nights at Mallowdeen Gardens and our hosts Rita and Wim made us feel welcome from the start. They gave us our space but were also always available if needed and helped with bookings and advice. We were in the cottage (apartment) behind the main house which was more secluded than the pool units and... More

Just passing by and saw the olive estate sign along the road; one of the three cottages was available - what a nicely decorate interior, realized with an eye for detail. The owners are quite involved and provided warm assistance. Definitely to keep in mind for a next time!

After spending time in busy Cape Town, Hermanus and Mossel Bay we had a day to spare and booked a night at Mallowdeen. The only problem was that we could only stay for one night as it was so calm and peaceful, located in beautiful gardens, and with hosts Rita and Wim who were so helpful. We arrived early in... More

Fantastic hospitality from the owners and hosts for B&B at Mallowdeen where we loved our cottage set in beautiful gardens with views to the mountains. This was a wonderful stop at the beginning of our garden route tour so we took the opportunity to sit by the pool for a day or two to chill out before going on with... More

My wife and I stayed at Mallowdeen Gardens during November 2014 for a weekend. Nothing was too much for our hosts, Vim and Rita, and this little piece of paradise 7kms outside Robertson has all the bells and whistles one would expect from an establishment with its grading. It is also a perfect launchpad for the myriad activities available in... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights on self-catering basis. Very comfortable open plan cottage at the poolside. No aircon but there was a fan which is needed during summer! Well equipped kitchenette with complimentary S&P, coffee/tea etc. Wood, firelighters, matches etc provided and the braai cleaned daily. A dip in the pool and lounging on the hammocks was... More

We had a most relaxing 4night stay in one of the cottages by the pool. All our needs were catered for by Rita & Wim which included delicious, appealingly presented breakfasts with plenty of choice and an interesting method of poaching eggs. They were most helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations. It turned out we were within a few minutes... More

My wife and I stayed in one of the cottages at Mallowdeen for 2 blissful nights. The hosts were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, helping with recommendations for wineries and restaurants and preparing our lovely poolside breakfast. One of the most relaxing places i have ever stayed. Not too far from the near by wineries. Beautiful little cottages surrounded by tranquil gardens and a lovely clear pool. Wonderful helpful hosts. Was very hard to leave.
