We stayed the weekend at Stone Cottage, the facilities are basic but you have absolutely everything you need. The farm goodies provided on a honesty system are very yummy. We stopped and chatted to the local pigs who are all very entertaining. The cottage overlooks the dam and many bird species were on show. including a stunning Jackal Buzzard. A... More

We loved our stay at Pepper Cottage! the view, quietness, privacy and cosy cottage was really special. Even though it was freezing cold night everything was in place to be warm and cosy inside the cottage. We will definitely be back.

Once again en route back to Knysna and home we broke our journey in Robertson - love the wine - and stayed in Pepper Tree Cottage on Tierhoek Farm! The journey alone excites, majestic mountain ranges and well kept rambling farmlands lead us up and onto his Truely magnificent farm! Proudly organic this magical fruit farm offers romantic accommodation in... More

We spent two cold wet nights in Stone cottage and dumped the plans to eat out out as it was just great to stay in. Facilities were great and we enjoyed the birds and we will come again when it is warmer to test the pool We weren't brave enough this time 4 deg. in the morning

We go here at least once a year with our kids and friends. It is a huge house plus has a small 2 bed cottage attached, so it can easily sleep 10 + people. The views are just breathtaking and you really feel like you are away from it all. Rooms are beautifully decorated and the kitchen is fully equipped.... More

This was our second visit to beautiful Tierhoek. We were a group of three couples, and had the most relaxing and tranquil weekend possible. Tierhoek is a haven, and Fig Tree House and Cottage in particular, with its magnificent view of the ever-changing valley before it. The house has everything you could wish for, with the kitchen stocked with every... More

Totally loved our stay......stunning setting, gorgeous views, beautifully appointed.......with everything necessary for a relaxing fun filled long weekend, celebrating our fathers 80th birthday!! Only 2 issues.......the small fireplace in the lounge smoked the whole house out, so we only used the large fireplace in the dining area, & many of the lamps had no bulbs or they weren't working

We spent two nights in Pepper Tree Cottage to celebrate our second wedding anniversary - what a stunning place! The cottage is lovely and everything you could need is provided. My only (minor) complaint was the bed, which is old and very creaky!! Tierhoek is such a peaceful, beautiful place to relax and get away from it all. Thank you... More

Bruce and Alison you have created the most fabulous destination a hop, skip and jump from Cape Town. We were blown away by not only the beauty of the farm and our accommodation, but we love your farming ethos and your gentle touch on the environment. We didn't want to leave at the end of our getaway and have already... More

It is the perfect spot to get out of the city, we had the place to ourselves and absolute privacy. It is self-catering, which is both a blessing and a slight inconvenience. Nobody comes knocking or interrupts your relaxation. However, for the 4 days we stayed, it would have been nice to have someone come in on the second day... More

We are pleased you enjoyed your honeymoon with us and the privacy we offer. We do find that our guests enjoy not being disturbed however we try to find a balance. Usually if our guests are staying for 4 nights or more we do offer that Annalma can come in every other day to clean. I apologize that this was... More
