Mai is a superb Irish hostess with a lot of character. The house is very charming and quaint. We felt as though we were visiting an old friend! The breakfast was excellent. Just a wonderful experience.

Lovely B&B with a wonderfully quirky decorating style. Mai herself is a joy, with an infectious full laugh. She was so helpful with advice on the region and in getting us reservations at local places on what was a holiday weekend. My friends and I also felt a bond with Mai's habit of caring for a bunch of semi-feral cats...

We spent a night with Mai in May this year, and found her establishment very good. The room was clean, comfortable and warm, with plenty of tea. coffee etc provided (and a tin of biscuits!), and really enjoyed Mai's bubbling Irish hospitality! We would love to stay here if we are ever in the area once more.

After having great email communications with Mai in the months before our trip, my hubby and our friend stayed here for 2 lovely nights in April. Mai kindly booked us a table at Karoo Kombuis (highly recommended) for Saturday night as we were not sure what time we would arrive. She let us choose what rooms we would like to...

Mai was a superb host. Warm friendly, and had tea/coffee and biscuits ready on arrival. She provided the best breakfast I have had so far on my travels in SA, and the bed was utter luxury..5 star hotel quality. I was quite sad to leave Prince Albert, and the main reason was my experience in Mai's. Would recommend her guesthouse...

Mai was most welcoming, helpful and extremely entertaining. She offered to book a table for supper for us as the village was very busy. Our rooms were very comfortable and warm. For breakfast there is one large table for everyone, and we got chatting to all the other guests. There are 11 cats lounging around the place, as much at...

We spent a very comfortable night in this quaint Guest House. Mai advised on the local attractions, including some fine dining options. The room is "old world" and the breakfast prepared by Mai and her staff was very good. Loved the fresh herbs and spices! Will visit again soon.

Mai greeted us like long lost friends and showed us around all the accommodation and invited us to choose our preferred option. We chose the pool cottage because it had its own stoep although any of the rooms would have been perfectly acceptable. Mai is a delightful character and despite 40+ years in SA still retains her charming Irish brogue....

We stayed at Mai's for one night while passing through Prince Albert. Mai is incredibly attentive: from organising dinner reservations, to preparing an amazing, individualised breakfast. Lovely, comfy beds in spacious rooms, all for a very competitive price. Once you've experienced Mai's, you won't want to stay anywhere else.
