We spent a week at The Cube in the hospitality of Dirk, Patrick, Paul and one of the staff members, Taku.
Besides the beautiful view from the Guest House itself, and convenient location (a 20 Minute drive down the 12 Apostles Route to Camps Bay), we were looked after with a delicious healthy breakfast each morning to set the day right and hosts with the most!
We were contacted in advance about restaurants (which were all booked and arranged for us); available tours (again, on direction of which one we liked it was booked for us) and rental car links.

First time at the Cape, stayed for five nights and wow, were we in for a treat! Premised and room meticulously maintained, warm-hearted reception (we even got a sensational breakfast upon arrival early in the morning after our flight). Tako is so attentive and good-natured with an abundance of positive energy that made our stay extra special. Location of the guest house is amazing, we were close to everything in the cape region.
The support for all the activities we wanted to complete was out of this world, it is clear that the cube team knows what they’re doing and that any recommendation comes from years of personal experience and feedback on site and not from some arbitrary and outdated travel guide.
This is traveling at its best, a clear recommendation, we will be back soon!

Dirk and his team around Tacco have managed to impress us again. This time there were six of us there with family and friends. We spent 7 nights in the Cube, family and friends only 3 nights. We all really enjoyed it and the 6 of us noticed the very chilled nature of both Tacco and Dirk, especially in comparison to what our friends and family were able to experience afterwards. The warm interaction with each other and of course with the guests of the house is simply pleasant.
We were last there in 2019 and a few things have changed since then, but it didn't bother us.
So now Tacco and his family live on the property, he is a great host and keeps everything in order and up to date. At breakfast he immediately remembers the preferences of each guest, so that the next morning the cappuccino and fried egg are served almost without being asked - great!!!
Tacco and of course Dirk are helpful in all matters, whether it's carrying suitcases up to the rooms, making restaurant reservations, or repairing a fan that has just stopped working. Tacco is also always available, no matter what the issue is. We were able to go on a day trip to Franschhoek with Dirk, which we really enjoyed and where we had a great time chatting with each other - brilliant! When else can you interact with your hotel host like that? It's this personal way that simply makes a difference... It doesn't matter that there are small flaws in the room here and there, or that the tiles by the pool are slowly crumbling. At least we found out that this will be fixed in the "winter" in August or September. The location of the house is still impressive, absolutely quiet with great views in all directions. The pool is another highlight and a welcome refreshment when it's over 30 degrees. Breakfast is eaten together with all the other guests at one table, so you always find out something about what the other guests are doing and can exchange experiences with each other and of course pick up tips for yourself... In short: we have found our South African home with the Cube and will of course come back and can only recommend the Cube to anyone who is looking for or needs a bit of connection.
Dirk makes many things possible beyond accommodation, such as restaurant reservations (recently many restaurants want to have a credit card booking, which makes reservations a little more difficult), but also everything that is needed for a connecting trip or excursions with and without a driver is organized by him in a wonderful, almost unnoticeable way. Our conclusion: repeat, repeat, repeat!

In November of 2022 we traveled to Cape town for a wedding and stayed at The Cube. Dirk was incredibly helpful from the beginning of our plan. He responded quickly to all my questions and concerns and made our reservations so easy to complete. From providing transport to and from the airport, to assisting in excursion recommendations and event purchases, no detail of our trip was too small. His customer service was the reason we chose to stay at the Cube. The home is lovely. Each room is private and beautifully maintained. We were met every morning with a delicious breakfast, and the hospitality of Taku, the onsite manager. Fantastic staff meeting every need. We loved every minute of our stay. Great location. Safe. Easy transportation to surrounding areas. We can't wait to return to Cape Town and wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Warm welcome by the owner and his assistant Taku. Designer and tasteful decoration. Sublime paintings. Very clean. Hearty, balanced breakfasts. The owner takes the time to chat with his guests and recommends places to see. My husband was sick. Taku made sure to make rice and lots of teas even though we only had the B&B. We had a fantastic stay in the Cube Guesthouse. The room was super clean, the house, garden and pool area very beautifully maintained and the host was very friendly, helpful and attentive. An excellent breakfast was served every morning at the pool. We will definitely come back.
