I doubt there’s anything better! To sleep listening to the waves crashing outside and being in sheer luxury was heavenly…. The hardest part is leaving. Tintswalo is a place that you just have to go back again and again to recharge your batteries!

Hotel's Favorite
Well, we waited almost two years (four times rescheduled) to visit, and it was WORTH THE WAIT! This place is even more breathtakingly beautiful in person than the gorgeous pics online. We arrived, after a warm and sunny safari, on a wet and chilly afternoon, and the ambience was fantastic. Fires going, stunning views of Sentinel Mountain (must've taken 25+ pictures of its different presentations over five days). The rooms, bathrooms, and their views-out of this world. The sounds of the crashing waves-amazing. The tastes of the super breakfasts and residents menu dinners (the bread and curated butter, the seared tuna app, the linefish and risotto-OMG) - the kitchen is to be commended. The service unparalleled-they made us feel like family. Special thanks and kudos to Jonathan, Tracy, Annie, and the FAB Jess Green who surprised us with a confectionary treat for our anniversary. We did try the Chef's Warehouse at Maison for the tapas lunch in the winelands region - very yummy and unique. They also introduced us to Escape and Explore tours-we were delighted with our two days - traveling around the Cape and visiting the wine country with Lizelle. I simply do not have the words to aptly describe this piece of paradise. It was love at first sight, and the travel love only grew throughout the week!!

A romanitc weekend away with sublime food, views and service. The suites are carefully and tastefully put together with an eye for detail. The menus give a variety of choice and everything we ordered was exceptionally good. The canapés and cocktails at sunset were a delight. We were blessed with a dolphin sighting at breakfast.

Full marks for setting - but unfortunately they use the amazing setting as their lure and don’t meet standards on other levels. The staff were friendly and attentive and can not but faulted. The views from the rooms and Restuarant were amazing. The linen was lovely. But the decor was so outdated, the interior design old and inappropriate and lacking in the fancy immunities one expect nowadays. The weather was good but they don’t even put out the cushions in the outdoor seats they are stacked in the room. It seems stingy to charge for the mini bar and small snacks if you are already charging exorbitant prices. Rather don’t mention that there were canapés but we were 15minutes to late to get them and no one thought it might be nice to offer you something special. Or offer some bubbles at breakfast but only at the end find out if you got it, but didn’t actually bother to arrange anything for you. The breakfast was most disappointing from a kitchen that is linked to a well rated restaurant. To be brutally honest it just felt skimpy and definitely got the feeling that profit making was more of a priority than anything else. They drop another conservancy fee on you at the end … rather just role it into your already expensive price and don’t make your guests feel squeezed again.

The location is great but literally at the bottom of the mtn- they drive you dis to the hotel. Located right on the ocean , the rooms are spacious, comfortable, bathroom is large and comfortable. Wood stove is great if chilly at night. Spa is good Our problem was the restaurant- Chefs Warehouse in my opinion try’s too hard- tapas menu is offered and the presentation takes away from the food. Ask fir the akacarte menu- its limited but much better. If you like the fussiness the restaurant is good for you- Remember there is also nothing to do except relax. Swim and eat- the food should be as good as the room….

The restaurant setting and views across the bay were absolutely beautiful. Every seat in the house could enjoy the views. Service was friendly and professional. The food was very tasty and well presented. Annie explained everything very well. I would have given 5 stars, but I unfortunately had bones in my fish. At this level of dining, that should not happen. A great evening though, and I would recommend it.
