One of the most beautiful ocean roads on the world, „Chapman‘s Peak“, no doubt about it, but at the same time driving towards Haut Bay, you got to stop for lunch or dinner at „Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic“ paradise on the ocean, what great place and wonderful view, sitting at the ocean and enjoying fantastic food and great wines. My favorite spot, what a relaxing place to be, always on my list when being in ZA.

We stayed here again for a few nights and loved our experience. The GM (Melissa) must be very proud of the environment she has build with such a well trained team. The team is so happy and attentive which made the whole stay wonderful, thank you

Fabulous restaurant in an amazing location on the edge of the sea. It’s a tasting menu which was absolutely fantastic. We booked our table reservation in October for our January holiday. Highly recommend. Lovely staff…thanks to Seth who was our waiter .

From the minute we arrived at this place we were blown away with its location, quirkiness, friendliness of staff and our room. Luxury but right at the edge of the sea. Incredible sunsets …. A beautiful place to dine, relax and just spend hours looking out at the sea! Dolphins spotted on several occasions. We stayed here for three nights which we felt was about right. The restaurant is INCREDIBLE. The tapas menu is one of the best we have ever had. Beautiful touches - complimentary sundowner drinks (the staff remembered that I prefer a non-alcoholic drink, so brought me something alternative and equally special instead, without me asking). Delicious canapés. A shout out to Patrick - such a friendly, smiley, attentive guy. He really made our stay even more special.

Excellent service, the most beautiful view, divine food, friendly staff. They go out of their way to make every guest special and feel at home. We will most certainly return. Each room is unique. No need to travel abroad, when you have your own peace of heaven in town.

Located at the foot of the slopes of Chapmans Peak in the shores of the Atlantic … I mean literally a meter from the waves. Upon arrival at the gate one is directed to a parking and then greeted by a hotel vehicle that meanders down the steep single lane road to the entrance of the reception. Staff will discretely take one’s luggage to an adequately specked room at the edge of the sea while booking in. Upon arrival at the room one is immediately bowled over by the serenity of the room located metres from the shore disturbed only by the sound of waves rippling over the sea washed pebbles. Dinner is a relaxed affair stressed somewhat by the overwhelming choice of stages of the menu. Was delicious on both occasion we ate there We stayed I my one night but next time will do two so as to get a complete day. The room side pool will needs to still be tried out. Looking forward to returning.

We actually stayed in August 2022 for our honeymoon but I’m only just reviewing now. We stayed here for 3 nights to start our 3 week honeymoon in South Africa. We were met at the airport by a hotel representative and had a comfortable ride to the hotel. When we got there, we were taken to the lounge and given a welcome drink and canapés which were amazing. Every day, you could go to the lounge around 5pm for cocktails and canapés. Each day, they let you taste something different and we looked forward to this every day. We stayed in the Antigua suite which was beautiful. Amazing views and an amazing bathroom - the best bath view you will ever get. It was absolutely spotless and the welcome champagne was a wonderful touch. The staff were out of this world! I have never stayed at a hotel where the staff were so attentive and always had the biggest smiles on their faces. One thing that amazed me was that when you went to breakfast or dinner, when you came back, the room was turned down for the evening or all tidied in the morning when you returned - and you never saw any staff do this. It was flawless! During our stay, it rained every day so we didn’t leave the hotel. We just wanted to relax in this little piece of heaven. To make our honeymoon special, we were offered complimentary massages in our room which were fantastic. On an evening, the staff also offered to light the fire in our room. Nothing was too much for them. Now, the food. The residents menu was absolutely wonderful but the tasting menu from the Chef’s Warehouse was on another level. My husband and I say to this day that it was the best food we have ever tasted. The breakfasts are something we still dream about to this day, too. This hotel is definitely one of the best hotels I have ever visited and probably will ever visit. A true 5* hotel which is thoroughly deserved. Thank you to all the staff for making this a trip of a lifetime.

We got married here in Dec 2016 and returned here for a few days in Dec/Jan. The location is stunning, the decor is beautiful but for me it is the wonderful staff that make this place what it is. When we arrived and without us asking, we were given Lamu, the suite where we got married on the balcony. So thoughtful. The team including the lovely ( and witty) Jonathan, Vusi (?), Patrick and Floyd in the restaurant all took such care of us. Nothing was too much trouble. Floyd was our wonderful waiter throughout - the loveliest, smiliest, most attentive guy. NYE we had the Chef’s Warehouse tapas menu - every single course was delicious. The food and the cocktails throughout our stay were sublime. Thank you to the chef and the barman. Pina Pina is my new favourite cocktail. One day, we went out early for a hike - and were late coming back. In our room, they had left us breakfast, snacks and cocktails. Again this was without us asking. Thank you to each and everyone of you for making this place so magical.

We just left from a three day stay at this hidden gem in Hout Bay just about 35-45 minutes outside of Cape Town. We absolutely loved our stay at this unique property. There are only 10 rooms, each uniquely decorated and we stayed in the Saint Marie room. When you arrive at the lodge, you will be driven down a steep path to the actual lodge, which is situated right on the water. You have beautiful views of the mountain and the village across the water. There is a lovely, relaxing deck and a small pool as well. Another thing that makes this property special is the personal service and attention to detail. Jonathan and Patrick were particularly accommodating and made our stay very personal. The restaurant has delicious food. We had a fixed menu Christmas dinner there and it was just phenomenal. if you’d like to go into Cape Town, it’s about a 35 to 45 minute ride during the holiday week. You will need to plan accordingly but we found this to be just fine. If you’d like to go into Haut Bay they have a complimentary shuttle that can drive you to and from some of the restaurants/shops there. I can’t say enough great things about this property. It was nice to return from a busy day of sightseeing to this lodge. I did notice a few details that could improve such as wear and tear on bathroom tile corners that could be better maintained but I I would still highly recommend going here.

A completely off grid stay but so close to central Cape Town. A breathtaking location with beautiful views, amazing dinner setting, stunning interiors and overall luxury. Great for a one or two night stay whilst visiting Cape Town.
