We stayed in LEEU before and came back. It was not easy to find the right time in the Covid year. For us it is one of the very best hotels and estates you can stay in South Africa. Personnel, rooms or better: Apartments, restaurants, gardens, Spa and Gym - we really cannot say what could be made better in all of this. The new restaurant La Petite Colombe is certainly one of the outstanding experiences you can have in SA. Perfect! We will come back again and again.
Everything was a treat from booking through to events. Nothing was to much trouble. Food was excellent and facilities modern. Brilliant art all over the place round off the sense of well being. Arranged a picnic with our family but had to change to be inside due to light drizzle. All managed with a smile.
We visited Leeu Estates during our tuk tuk tour in Franschhoek. We have been treated by a guided tour of the property, the hotel, the garden and the art gallery. This is an amazing place which worth the visit.
This is a wonderful hotel, with excellent service in a glorious setting. It still has one or two teething problems, house keeping was a little inconsistent and the breakfast had few healthy options. However, the staff were superb, very friendly and polite and always there to find solutions for any issues. Slightly concerned that if the hotel gets too big that the Spa swimming pool will become over-crowded. It already gets quite crowded on a Saturday when Spa users come in, although I know they are only allowed to use the pool if they spend a certain amount. We loved walking around the grounds every morning and evening, so peaceful and such stunning surroundings. Lots to do close by as well.
Leeu Estates was simply incredible. Breath taking scenery, inspiring manicured landscape, and world class treatment. In addition to the best service we've experienced, this was truly a place to relax, clear your mind, and drink some of the finest wine in the country. We had an action packed honey moon and to be honest, I was least excited about visiting the wine country- especially because we live in Northern California with Napa in our backyard. Boy was I in for a surprise! We ate at two amazing restaurants, took a private wine tour and upon returning to the Leeu estates we met the Founder, Analjit (Bas) Singh and his family. After an incredible dinner at EPIC (same owner) we returned to our room where we found 2 bottles of their best wine along with a Leeu Collection Art and Landscape book with a hand written personal note from Bas and his wife. This is a small act of kindness that says a lot about the owners and their standard of excellence . We have great memories from this trip and wish we stayed longer- we will surely be back!…
