The guest house is located little bit outside the main street of Franchoek. But that gives it the touch of nature and excellent view. The house only has several rooms and try to get the one with big terrace overlooking the mountains and vineyards. It's absolutely stunning. The room was great and had a cozy look. The only problem was...

The location is excellent about a 5 minute drive from Franschoek or a 15-20 minute walk, the house is set in lovely gardens, well tended with a good size pool and plenty of sun beds for everyone. On arrival we were met by Sheena the house manager who was very charming, friendly and helpful with suggestions regarding vineyards and restaurants....

We arrived on a very cool and wet day in October and no one was around. So we rang a bell in the driveway - this is the way all guests are expected to gain the attention of the staff. So, there is no traditional reception with a friendly face to go and see, but instead a bell you ring...

A perfect location and high standard in services. Senior management seemed unwelcoming and austere but this atmosphere was corrected by junior manager, Shena, who created a warm relaxed holiday environment. Shena was professional, accommodating with a lovely gentle sense of humour. The owners of L'Auberge Chanteclair should feel proud they have Shena at the front helm. A true gem and...

This is a lovely guesthouse. We had a room in the main house. Nice big room with it's own patio and steps down to the big garden with its own vineyard, orchard, lake and pool area. Petro and Leonora were kind and helpful and booked taxis and resaurants for us. Breakfast was plentiful and we had it outside every morning. Location is...

Lovely boutique b.and b. set in lovely gardens; stylish yet relaxed this presents a small and welcoming environment - charming, good value and a delightful place to which, like several regulars that we met during our stay, we plan to revisit often.
