We stayed in the honeymoon suite for our wedding weekend and it was wonderful. Amazing gardens and fantastic service from the team, who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Highly recommended!

I can’t enthuse enough about Le Manoir de Brendel. My husband and I are frequent visitors to South Africa and have had many a wonderful holiday in some beautiful hotels and guest houses within the Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Cape Town areas. However, we are both in agreement that Le Manoir de Brendel is now our firm favourite place to stay. Not only is this estate set within a beautiful backdrop but all the staff are incredibly friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The grounds, gardens and buildings are beautifully maintained and importantly for me, incredibly tranquil. I did find the swimming pool was a little cold for my liking, that being said, it was a welcome relief to cool down on the extremely hot days. We were lucky enough to stay in the Honeymoon suite which is a spacious poolside room with two spacious and nicely laid out bathrooms and an extremely large and comfortable bed, which was ideal for both of us as we suffer back issues. The room was clean and homely with a well stocked mini fridge and the drinks and snacks were reasonably priced. Breakfast was a wonderful assault on the stomach! The huge variety of breakfast dishes on offer meant there’s something to suit every taste, my husband and I highly recommend the cooked breakfasts! Food intolerances are also catered for. It’s also worth mentioning the estate wine tasting - definitely worth indulging! Being a little outside of Franschhoek you do need to drive to the village or better still utilise the ever cheerful and reliable Hannes, booked via the estate. Hannes’ taxi service will drive you wherever you want to go. The staff will recommend, organise and book restaurants along with wine tasting to any of the numerous other wine estates. Charmaine manages a wonderful team who really helped to make our stay at Le Manoir de Brendel a fantastically memorable and thoroughly enjoyable one, we only wish we could have stay longer. We are however planning on visiting again as soon.

Le Manoir de Brendel was the perfect choice for our intimate wedding! My wife and I decided to come all the way from Germany to celebrate our wedding in Franschhoek. Even though we had never been to Le Manoir de Brendel and had to organise everything from abroad, it wasn’t difficult at all, since Charmaine has done a wonderful job responding to every little request we had. It is incredible how much time she invested to make sure everything would turn out just the way we wanted it to be. In the end we had a small and intimate wedding at the best possible venue. Charmaine and her team did everything to fulfil all of our wishes and they made our event unforgettable. We owe her and her staff a very special thanks for all the organisation for our guests and we also thank Charmaine so much for the trust we could put into her in organising the wedding accommodation and celebration.

Words cannot describe what a heavenly oasis this place is. Charmaine is such a joy, nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the cottage which was perfect for us and our children. Loved stargazing at night and chilling in the pool. Thank you so much...we will return! X
