I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were exemplary, knowledgeable and welcoming. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and The Tasting Room for dinner was a highlight of my overall South African experience. It's obviously expensive, but worth treating yourself. We hired a taxi for the day for a wine tasting tour: Carla was brilliant and... More

Stayed here for one night so we could eat at the spectacular Tasting rooms. Well worth it. The room was very spacious. Had a log fire. Also came with a complementary bottle of wine which was a very nice touch. Staff were great. It's right in town and easy to walk down the main street. Some very cool boutique shops.... More

After spending a couple of nights at Leeu House, and being favourably impressed, we decided to return to Le Quartier Francais after a long absence, to see how it compared, being owned by the same owner. We stayed in a spacious suite, with its own plunge pool, and separate lounge, together with a second bedroom upstairs, suitable for kids. Very... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the beautiful LQF B&B. Our room was large, comfy, well lit (a seemingly rarity based on our experience) and well appointed. We really liked the in-room natural fireplace. The grounds were a delight, homey and beautiful even as winter was in the air. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The... More

Dear nofearkengear, Thank you for this flattering review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do love our position in the village – right on the High Street, but the accommodation secluded in our private gardens, ensuring you experience the best of the Franschhoek winelands lifestyle. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, Luis More

Great location in Franschhoek. Beautiful elegant hotel and extraordinarily comfortable rooms. They left great little messages on post-its on our mirror with turn down service. A warm little detail that was unique. They were aware of our wedding anniversary celebration and made our stay extra special. Walking distance to great restaurants. Peaceful property

We stayed overnight with Amex Centurion benefits. We were very kindly upgraded to The House Suite, a cottage on two levels, and a private plunge pool in a very private back yard overlooking the mountains in the distance. You enter via a living room that reminded me of a friends cottage in upstate New York, and then over to the... More

We stayed for two nights during our tour of South Africa, so that we could have a couple of days not driving and sample the local wine estates. Le Quartier Francais is a beautiful, quaint, unique hotel. The layout of the complex is really lovely. The pool and garden area is in the centre of a kind of courtyard and houses surround it split into upper and ground floor rooms. We had a wonderful view of the mountains from our room and even though it's just off the... More
