We had traveled most of the day and we were only going to be at Le Quartier Francais in Franschhoek for the evening. We had time to put our bags down and the staff went on to explain the layout of the hotel. The room was very nice, a large square with a nice sized bed and a working fireplace... More

LQF is a beautiful B&B with nicely appointed rooms and an excellent trio of restaurants, chef Margot Janse delivers on some very good food. I travel a lot and while personalized service is a good thing, we felt like a lot of emphasis was put on explaining how wonderful the hotel was and on making us feel special ... while... More

We were delighted to receive a room upgrade to one of the Four Quarters suites. The suite was decorated with a modern design and was quite spacious. There were some nice complimentary cocktail fixings, wine, juices and snacks. We were on the second floor and we had a nice sitting area outside where we could watch the sunset and colors... More

What a beautiful place and the most wonderful meal. Multiple courses with absolutely excellent food and wine! Our room was large with fireplace and view over the mountains. To walk around in Franschoek is a pleasure- many small shops and coffee places and lovely views. Would recommend this restaurant over any others in this town- it really is special with... More

This, by far, is one of the best places I have ever had the privilege of visiting, The staff was friendly and accommodating all the time, and I am not the easiest person around. The fire places located all over the Hotel and in the room added that special touch, The complimentary wine and Nespresso made us feel right at... More

Le Quartier Francais is a beautiful property and rather than staying in a hotel, you are staying in a little chateau. Truly charming and unique, I have never stayed in a place like it. The room was beautifully decorated, clean, and quite large with a flat screen television, fireplace, and huge bathroom with stall shower (great water pressure) and bathtub.... More

I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The staff were exemplary, knowledgeable and welcoming. Our room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and The Tasting Room for dinner was a highlight of my overall South African experience. It's obviously expensive, but worth treating yourself. We hired a taxi for the day for a wine tasting tour: Carla was brilliant and... More

Stayed here for one night so we could eat at the spectacular Tasting rooms. Well worth it. The room was very spacious. Had a log fire. Also came with a complementary bottle of wine which was a very nice touch. Staff were great. It's right in town and easy to walk down the main street. Some very cool boutique shops.... More

After spending a couple of nights at Leeu House, and being favourably impressed, we decided to return to Le Quartier Francais after a long absence, to see how it compared, being owned by the same owner. We stayed in a spacious suite, with its own plunge pool, and separate lounge, together with a second bedroom upstairs, suitable for kids. Very... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights at the beautiful LQF B&B. Our room was large, comfy, well lit (a seemingly rarity based on our experience) and well appointed. We really liked the in-room natural fireplace. The grounds were a delight, homey and beautiful even as winter was in the air. The staff were friendly and always helpful. The... More

Dear nofearkengear, Thank you for this flattering review. We are thrilled that you enjoyed your stay with us. We do love our position in the village – right on the High Street, but the accommodation secluded in our private gardens, ensuring you experience the best of the Franschhoek winelands lifestyle. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, Luis More
