We had a wonderful Stay at La Galiniere Guest cottages. Reita was so accommodating and helpful with allowing us to take a shower before our wine tram trip (even though we were hours early to check -in). The location is great - close to all the vineyards and Franschoek town centre. A really perfect stay, spacious and clean and a beautiful setting. Would happily return!
The cottage is in a very safe location, it is spacious with a large well equipped kitchen. Great location and walking distance to Wine tram and the Town. Its on a small vineyard with a pool right outside. Very pretty location. We were left a lovely bottle of wine which was produced from the grapes on the vineyard, lovely touch. Definitely a home from home, wish we could have stayed longer.
Great cottage with space around you - unlike most of Franschhoek! We love it here, close to everything and then able to relax in a quiet location in the evenings. Lovely welcome, very friendly - we will return and highly recommend!
Although we arrived later than expected, Alan met us and gave us a tour of the cottage until Rietha (Cottage Manager) arrived and took over welcoming us to the cottage. A complimentary bottle of wine and a sample of (french press) coffee made the stay even better. Friendly (if a little elderly) dogs and a quaint (double decker bus) wine tram running behind the cottage made for a well rounded 2 night stay. We did not use the pool, however it looked VERY inviting. 5 minutes from Franschoek and the nearest service station, supermarkets, etc.
Great cottages. Awesome service. Can definitely recommend 👌 Close to everything but still feels as if you are secluded in your own little Vinyard. Will definitely book a stay there again in the near future.
Wartm welcome and explanation of accommodation; lovely well equipped kitchen with gas stove (good for load shedding times); lovely fireplace with firewood provided; warm bed and heater in bedroom; carpet needs replacing in lounge; bathroom could be renovated.
We spent a very pleasant time in La Galiniere. The cottage is very comfortable with 2 large rooms, nice living room and kitchen...and a good bottle of wine as a present! The swimming pool, in front of the cottage, is also very pleasant and the vineyards all around make the place wonderful. Thank's a lot
Good location but cottage rundown and not clean…. Carpets in need of a clean, burn marks, curtains hung badly and cigarette butts in a half dead flower pot outside. Cottage lacked love and care and attention to detail!
Rita was very welcoming & friendly. She is always ready to assist with any queries. It was a pleasure dealing with her. It was wonderful to have a gas stove during load shedding . The vineyard was a beautiful sight to look at.
We where welcomed by the friendly Rieta and the beautiful dogs. Our trip was just too short but we where very impressed with the cottage, Wished we stayed longer. A small milk is provided but I would suggest seeing it is a self catering that you bring your own milk for the morning coffee ( they do provide coffee tea and sugar and a very small milk) but it is not enough for a family to share. They provide ice and beautiful bottle of wine for the room as well as fire wood for the fireplace. We really had a lovely stay and will be back.
