The reason we went to Grande Provence farm was because my fiance and I were looking for a wedding venue, and a place to celebrate his birthday. I had seen Grand Provence online, and it was my favorite from the selection, so we decided to stay and get a feel for it. We are staying at a few wine farms... More

We stayed at Grande Provence following a wine tasting tour through Frranschoek. The property was stunning and the service was first rate. I would come back in a heartbeat, and wish that we could have stayed longer.

Perfect Franschhoek location in a well developed wine estate surrounded by Cabernet and Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Chardonay vines. Grape juice tasting for the children and a wine tram experience is available with the local artisan's market on your doorstep. (We purchased an ebony chess set comprising the big five as some of the pieces). We looked forward to the... More

Return to OC after 3 years. Accommodation extremely comfortable. Lovely breakfast in the cottage where we enjoyed the shared private pool. Very good dinner at GP, but beware only one menu so when returning following day for light lunch it's the same! Had issue of no water before dinner but staff brilliant and found another room that had some, so... More

We stayed in the family suite which has two bedrooms connected by a sumptuous lounge area. As a family of 4 it was idealic with small but perfectly suitable plunge pool. Waking in the morning to the look out towards the mountains across the vast fields of vines was pure bliss. I cannot recommend this highly enough, Rene and Wellington... More

Beautiful property with excellent service. We're a couple visiting from the States. It was our first time in the wine country of South Africa. Great experience at the owners cottage. Rene and Wellington were superb hosts for our short stay at Grande Provence. Rene was able to book massages for us on short notice. Our next visit will not be... More

Romantic and cozy boutique hotel. Very familiar atmosphere and friendly stuff. Hotel surrounded by many bushes and trees which doesn't allow to see the beautyness of the surrounding and landscape. Rooms upstairs are bad isolated that we couldn't sleep anymore after 4:00 due to the very loud twittering of the birds. Service helpful and friendly but bad trained and super... More

Having eaten here before and been very impressed, we booked to stay in The Owners Cottage. Staff very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good. However room was very disappointing, and smelt as if not used. Also small and a bit shabby. Additionally a number of the lights did not work. Also the free Wi-Fi did not work... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in late October. It really is s magical and beautiful place. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive - but equally respected our privacy and we're not over the top. The tranquility is evident and we had a very relaxing time. The food and wine were of excellent quality too... More

We only had three days to do a quick visit to the wine lands. We had not stayed at Grand Provence before but had always enjoyed seeing the art work and had eaten here before. The cottage was lovely inside. I was surprised to see we had a sitting room and beautiful outside terrace. I realised this was a sharing... More
