The rooms at La Petite Dauphine are amazing! Love the cozy atmosphere, the gorgeous property, the well apportioned amenities of this B & B. The food great at the restaurant on site. We especially enjoyed the in room fireplaces and large bathrooms.

This is must be one of the nicest establishments in Franschoek. The Accomodation is plush with only the best linen. The room has a fireplace and the bathroom has underfloor heating - the colder the weather the better in this case. The view is to die for. You open the window and you have a fantastic view across beautiful green... More

We decided to have our wedding at La Petite Dauphine and what a great decision that was. Everything was simply perfect and easy! The staff were professional, the food was delicious as always, the rooms must be some of the nicest you can stay in... And the setting is just magnificent. Can't recommend this place enough. Go there just for... More

We booked into cottage 1 and we were arriving after the core hours of reception. We arrived at the gate and security sent us to reception as they had stayed on late for us. The room was stunning. Spacious and exceptionally finished. There was a fully stocked mini bar, fruit, tea and an espresso coffee machine. When it got a... More

Didn't stay, but really like the tour given by staff and the history behind the gardens . It's a beautiful property. Excellent place for special occasions. The gardens were not in full bloom but still pretty. I'm sure during their spring and summer months it must be especially beautiful here .

La Petit Dauphine is nice, the staff are great and the food is good but there are far better places to stay in the area for the same price. It's expensive and a bit old fashioned. The early 10am check out time is a deal breaker. Seems unnecessarily early, especially when you know the check in time is 2pm. Not... More

We had a lovely stay in a 'cottage' on the estate. Completely secluded and surrounded by beautiful gardens. The interior of our accommodation was very tastefully done with high quality furnishings and bathroom fittings. We could walk out onto our own little verandah with a view of the extensive gardens and swimming pool. Breakfast is served in a sweet little... More

We had a wonderful wedding at LPD with 75 guests. We had a wedding planner to ensure all went to plan but Marie Louise and her catering team did a terrific job and her wine pairing suggestions were first rate. The accommodation was excellent as usual for all our guests. LPD ensured a magical day with many guests feeling like... More

La Petite Dauphine was on our Franschhoek Tram Wine Tour. We pre-booked a table at Cafe Bon Bon and instead of a wine tasting had our lunch there. The setting is beautiful and the food is good. The only niggle is we felt that there weren't enough light/salad type dishes on the menu. They all seemed to be heavy considering... More
