Our third trip back to Angala, we've decided that it's the best base from which to explore the magnificence of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschoek. Sure, it's down a slightly long and winding road, but the seclusion and privacy that this brings is worth the trip. Rooms are excellent, with every possible comfort, and the entire property is tranquil and lovely.... More

We spent two nights at Angala's, having come back for the second night when we could not find anywhere which nearly compared. The log fire in our room on the cold autumn evenings was a real treat. The chef is first class and both dinner and breakfast really excellent. The staff could don't have been nicer or more attentive. If... More

I absolutely loved this place. Beautiful rooms, gorgeous garden setting and fabulous surrounds that nature has provided. Top notch service. Friendly and professional. The perfect getaway. Loads of wineries just down the road to top it off!

Set about an hour outside of Cape Town City Centre is this special hotel. This hotel is peaceful and the perfect place for your soul to recuperate. Our room was beautiful with a lovely private garden and outdoor shower which was such a treat. The service was great, the food was nothing less than fantastic. The eco pool and fireplace... More

This hotel and its staff are amazing. We stayed here for two nights and didn't want to leave. The people were great and so helpful. They organised a private tour for us and got a mobile beauty therapist to attend our room at short notice. The room was beyond our expectations. Who knew we would have a private garden! The... More

Set above a wine farm, the drive to the hotel is a great chance to see vineyards first hand. The staff are professional and friendly, the room was amazing and the food was out of this world. The chance to relax in this wonderful setting was an opportunity that we will cherish. The hotel is a fair distance from Franschoek... More

Amazing place, impossible not being impressed by this wonderful boutique hotel. This is probably one of the best place I ever seen (have seen a lot !). Some Hotel Managers from France and specially Paris should go to this place for a training. The room, the bathroom are simply amazing. This is not bling bling, just cosy, beautiful, warm. View... Possibly one of our best stays ever!!! The people, the setting, the food, the suite... Very close to so many Boutique wine farms and Franschoek. Aubrey, you are a great 'guide' to many hidden gems. We will be back to soon to explore some more. See you all again very soon. Gerrie & Sunet

My friend Lauren and I spent the night here before moving on to Cape Town. I can't imagine anyone not being impressed by this hotel. The rooms that we had were spacious and comfortable with patios that overlooked water features and Eco pools with dragon flies, wild flowers and birdsong. The hotel is not far from the restaurants in Franschhoek... More
