My husband and I spent 2 nights at the tented camp 5 years ago, and went back with my parents end of July (again 2 nights). I could hence compare and want to make the remark that certain renovations need to be done: shower tiles are broken, tab in the kitchen is loose, metal chairs need a repaint, and the... More

The second camp that we stayed at on our trip, and by far and away our favourite. On arrival we were met by the camp host who asked if we had seen the lions that had just walked away from laying in front of the reception desk! There are only 15 tents in this small camp, along with a small... More

Stayed here for 6 nights. Facilities are clean and maintained daily. The tents are large and offer warm showers, toilet and basin facilities. Most tents have two beds but you can get a large mattress on request. All tents have an adjacent kitchen tent which is fully stocked with all necessities including a large fridge. You only need to bring... More

If you want to feel the hairs on your arms stand upright when the lion roars right next to your tent, hear the barn owl screech in the tree next to your window and touch the Milky Way then spend time in Kalahari Tented Camp. The chalets are well equipped and the staff friendly and helpful. Remember that in winter... More

Have been here for the third time! Lots of animals at the waterhole! Tents are beautiful, clean and you have a beautiful view. Service excellent! Experience of a lifetime. No fences! Have booked again for 2017!

Staying in this open camp was one of the best experiences we had in the Kgalagadi. The tents were VERY well equipped, extremely clean, well maintained and built in such a way that you feel completely secluded in the wilderness. There are no electric sockets in the tents, so if you want to charge your camera batteries do it in... More

We booked two nights in the camp on a recent trip to Namibia / South Africa. The chalet/tent was excellent. We were at the end of the camp with only the jackal sett our neighbours on one side. The facilities at the chalet were great, separate kitchen area to the bedroom/shower-toilet part. We were amazed at the wildlife within touching... More

Stayed here for 4 days in March with a group of friends. Camp is really good with excellent comfortable accommodation. Tents finished to a good standard. Plenty basic utensils in the kitchen and nice place to chill and watch the animals coming and going to the waterhole. Camp swimming pool is a nice addition to cool off in in the... More

We have been to the KTC twice and are about to visit again. It is a big camp with lots of chalets but they are quite far apart and it is not a problem. The chalets consist of two units: one is the bedroom and bathroom, the other is the kitchen. It is quite exciting to wander between the two... More

We were here for three nights. Two couples sharing the family tent. The family tent (no.10?) was very central and and slightly further forward than the others, so felt a little more private with a large gap to one side (where the lion prefer to walk). Also has uninterrupted views of the watering hole and a family of jackal living... More
