Stayed here two nights (family of four, with two sons aged 20 and 19) on our way to the greater Kruger Park area. Certainly worth visiting: cosy rooms, very good service, very friendly staff, also very helpful when planning activities in the neighbourhood, extremely good cook, beautiful gardens, very nice views. To be recommended!

We stayed at Kings Walden for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff were incredibly helpful : providing information on local hiking trails, serving breakfast earlier than listed and generally going beyond what we could reasonably expect. We had pre-booked dinner every evening and it was delicious. The house is clearly... More

Great view, such beautiful gardens just a pity they are not maintained. There was a problem with the water - it was like orange brown and we decided to leave after 2 days in our stay due to this and the health hazard. But were refunded in full. Staff needs to learn the history of the place - everyone have... More

The surroundings are stunning and the food is fantastic but portions too heavy. Rooms are beautifully furnished but rather dark and unfortunately you have to draw the curtains when inside, as there is no privacy with the big windows facing the entrance of the premises.

Beautiful location high up in the hills with a fantastic view from the terrace. Nice and cool in the evening and morning even at the peak of summer. No AC needed and a fireplace for the cooler days. The whole place has a homely feeling. We had a nice room with a pretty view of the extensive garden and pool. The... More

The view on the terras and garden is breathtaking and feels like on top of the world! The food and wine selections are very good, the rooms are clean, big and nice designed and the staff is wonderful. Especially... More

Incredible venue with a beautiful view of wolfberge. The gardens are immaculate and a fitting setting for a special garden wedding. The venue had a marquee where we could admire the view. Food was top class and the service was very good. Only caution - parking was adventurous. And there could be more toilets for a function.

My wife and I travel to South Africa twice a year. We stay in some old favorites, and are always on the lookout for new experiences. In September we stayed at this charming place for the first time; we like it because it is definitely not a hotel, and have reasonable expectations as to the services one can expect from... More

There is only 2 noticeable people on floor duty over a weekend one being the Barman receptionist ext . We weren't welcomed at reception there was no one there for about 10 minutes eventually he arrives and "shows us around" this is the restaurant and this is your room the end.
