From the first greeting at the gate, through every event all through each day to being escorted to your tent room at night, the staff family are surperb. The fact that the lodge is in an idyllic situation, candle power only at times and a well used water hole just in front of the stoep make the whole camp like... More

"Luxury tent" doesn't really capture the accommodation standard - it was amazing with lots of special touches. The service in camp was excellent, and the game drives very well done - informative and many good sightings.

If you are on the fence about whether to stay here or not then bite the bullet and make the booking...this place is incredible. As we were in the area, my dad and I booked a night here after being recommended by a family member. I wish we had been able to stay for a week. The tents and house... More

We stayed at Gorah for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Especially the knowledgeable and very friendly guide(Ryan) gave our visit an extra dimension. In one word we loved his explanations during the four drives. All staff are very supportive and friendly. We thought that a minor point was that the variation of animals present at Addo and/or... We stayed 2 nights at Gorah Elephant Camp. Our tent cabin was large and well-appointed. We saw a rhino from our tent patio. The watering hole provides views of many types of African animals. Our guide was exceptional, albeit we we did not see any lions. The cabins were very clean, and the staff were very pleasant and efficient. My... More

We recently stayed at Gorah for 3 nights and experienced 6 wonderful game drives with Stuart - we have traveled extensively throughout Africa and the rest of the world and he is one of the most knowledgeable guides we have ever met. The lodge itself is very beautiful with wide, open spaces and a water hole right off the main... More

You can't go wrong booking your stay at Gorah Elephant Camp. It is truly a magical place. I've never been so relaxed on a holiday as I was at Gorah. Great staff, great food and amazing animals of South Africa!

This experience was not what I imagined. The pictures you see do not come close to what it really is. First of all you are out in the bush in Africa. But everything there from the rooms (tents) to the Guides to the delicious meals was first rate. We will never forget the Gorah or the friends we have made... More

Gorah is beautiful, colonial, enchanting, friendly, luxurious and oh so enjoyable. It certainly lives up to most of my expectations. As South Africans is admittedly was expensive but worth it! We have travelled and stayed in many 5* 'to die for’ Game reserves/ accommodation over the years and I think I can make the following comments with confidence. From a... More

We had a very pleasant / relaxing / luxurious stay at Gorah. Our guide, Stuart, was great and we really enjoyed our game drives. Not the best wildlife we have seen on safari, but pretty good and stunning landscapes. Food at camp was very good too and Gorah made you (the guest) feel very special at all times. We loved... More
