We've been staying at the Admiral for our annual girls' weekend for many years now and, as always, the hotel delivers. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable rooms, nice pool area, activities on the pool deck for kids & adults. Just an all around great experience. See you next year!
From the moment we checked in the front desk was so nice and very friendly. Our room was super clean and the room service was excellent. We meet the owner Bill what a great man. Admiral is a Five Star . Thanks for the great weekend.
Pros - good beach location, nice staff, great for large families, get a few rooms & kids can enjoy pool & mini golf. On site breakfast & lunch restaurant. Cons - long walk to board walk & mattresses are old & hard. They are updating so ask for updated room. Parking available
Every morning we woke to a friendly staff already cleaning everything, vacuuming the pool, and greeting us warmly as we drink coffee. The staff works to keep kids and families engaged all day with fun activities. Awesome pool deck with music playing and the pool is perfect. Outdoor natural gas grill with play area for kids. The rooms are kept up well and we really enjoyed the multiple bedrooms and kitchen as well. We cant say enough about how friendly and amazing the staff here is. We will 100% be returning here with our children through the years to this great environment!!!
My girls group has been staying at The Admiral for years now. Cannot beat the friendly and accommodating customer service, great location (1 block from beach, trolley pickup at corner), well-maintained pool and plenty of activities for families with children. We've stayed in different places in the past but once we discovered this gem it's our go-to year after year.
Let me start off by stating that we have been coming to Wildwood on vacation for quite some time. This resort, by far, is the best in Wildwood. My entire family: Myself, mys husband, my two daughters, my mom, my dad, my sister and my nephew all stayed in room 404 from 8/14-8/17/19. We were not disappointed at all. The room was spacious enough for 8 of us not to bump into each other. The activities for the children from the pool to the daily activities that the hotel provides was awesome. We have stayed in many places in Wildwood and this is our new vacation home. Thank you to the entire staff for making our stay enjoyable and fun. See you next year and beyond.
Great place to stay. Everything is kept nice.Trolly at your corner for easy access to boardwalk at night with the family. All around service was excellent. Our room cleaner Rackie Bel boa was kind and friendly. This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. First was in 2015. The issues with the toilets back in 2015 have been fixed with great ones. Sounds funny but I was very happy with our toilets. Place is close to the beach. Took walks right out our door for night time walks on the beach. Bike rental is right across the street. One suggesting and my only one is to find a solution with the garbage smell I caught every once or so. If I was to say what it was I would say its the used grease from the restaurant. Other then that I highly suggest you make this place your vacation spot for when you visit. Thanks to everybody at the Admiral for making our weeks vacation a wonderful experience!…
My family and I stayed her for four days. It was the perfect place. My parents came with us it was handicap accessible. it had an elevator and was very easy to push get my dad around in the wheelchair. We had 3rd floor balcony view pool side. Perfect for the family we were in the pool having fun and dad was on the balcony watching us in the shade. The restaurant right down stairs was perfect for breakfast everyday. My family and I had a fun time with all the fun activities between 10-3 for kids teens and adults.
Doing Girls' Weekend at The Admiral for a few years now. Always a good experience. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and a nice pool & deck area. Great for families with mini golf, ping pong tables & activities.
My husband and I went with our 2 adult teen boys and their girlfriends along with 2 little girls. We always book last minute so we found this motel on booking.com. We booked online with a non-refundable pay-in-full reservation. The next morning though, the motel called to confirm that we wanted the booking since it was Jim-refundable. I confirmed and we were all set. We booked for a stay from Sunday - Wednesday. Before arrival we were told by the front desk that if we arrived early we could park on their site and use the pool while we waited for our room. We arrived at 1:00 and check-in isn’t until 3, but our room was ready so we were able to get in. We left a $10 per key deposit and received 2 keys ($20). They don’t come on key rings so they can be easily misplaced. There is parking around the entire building as well as in a garage under the building. We have an SUV and even with the multiple pillars around the building, we were able to park just fine. We did have to park close against the pillars but there was plenty of room to open the door after doing so. There is an elevator right outside the office doors. There are luggage carts on the ground floor also. We took advantage of the luggage carts and elevator since we were in the 4th floor. We stayed in room 408. This is a 2-bedroom, 1 1/2 bath family suite. Photos are shown on their website. When you walk to your room and look out you have a beautiful view of everything since it’s the top floor. You can see the beach as well as the streets, and the pool, picnic area and miniature golf on the 2nd floor. When entering our room you entered into the common area. There is seating at the table for 6, then another table with seating for 2. There is a Day bed style full size bed that wheels away from the back so that the daytime couch is a full size bed at night. There are 2 pillows tucked behind the backboard. There is a large wall tv in front of the bed. The kitchen has a full sized fridge, a range too with 4 large burners, and plenty of cabinet space and counter space to store groceries. There are pans and utensils as well as a small setting of dishes to serve 8. The dishes consist of big plates, saucers, tea cups, and there were 4 juice cups. There is a 2-slice toaster and a microwave also. The main bathroom has a large wall medicine cabinet and plenty of counter space to store your items during your stay. The tub is plenty big to relax in, and plenty of shower shelf space for multiple bottles and soaps. My only complaint is that this room serves 8 people, yet there were not enough towels for 8 people to shower. The towels are just the typical cheap white small thin towels as expected, but when you have 8 people you should have 8 towels. The common area has a large floor to ceiling window to look out into the patio through. There is no front window to Open. Just the large window and front door. When you walk through the combined common area and kitchen you enter into a bedroom with 1 full size bed, a chest dresser and mirror and wall hanging space. There is no tv in this room and outlets on each side of the bed. The room is very dark with the doors shut since there are no windows. When you walk through that bedroom you reach the 2nd bedroom. This room has 2 full size beds. Only 1 wall outlet near one bed and another above the dresser. This bedroom has its own bathroom with the same counter space and medicine cabinet, a toilet but no shower. Overall the stay was very comfortable. Everyone had space to retreat to and the 2 bathrooms is a huge plus when you have 5 girls getting ready. The AC works good in the room. We had 80-100 degree days and the room was always cold. Housekeeping came around 1:30 each day. They only refilled he bathroom with 4 towels each day so we took an additional 4 towels from the cart each day also. They emptied our trash and vacuumed one day and we told them not to the 2nd. There is a pool on the 2nd level that goes up to 4 feet only. There is also a kiddie section and plenty of chairs around the entire pool. I think they’re open like 10am-8 pm. Not very late but no life guard on duty. The benefit to the pool location is after you spent the day in the sun on the beach, when you come up to the hotel and use the pool because the beach closes at 5:30, the entire pool is in shade. It’s a big relief after sunning all day. The 2nd floor also has grills and tables as well as a miniature golf setup and ping pong tables. There is a restaurant on the 1st floor of the building. Prices are very reasonable and there was plenty of seating when we went for breakfast at 9am. The beach is just across the side street so there is just one non too busy road to cross. Before reaching the beach there is a bike rental station on the left. There are public bathrooms in that building also that opens to the outside so you walk in from the streets. There are low pressure showers and foot wash stations on each side of the entrance to the beach. Keep in mind that there is a small section reserved for surfers when you enter the beach. It’s on the left of the colored rental boxes that look like coops on the beach so you have to go to the right of those boxes to settle in or go a little ways down to the left. We just stationed on the right each day. During our visit there were sting rays in the water swimming around us. They were there for the entire 4 days we visited. They came out more after 2:30 and could be seen everywhere around 3-4:00. We saw horseshoe crabs in the swimming section as well as minnows, a large 2’ fish and the dolphins visited daily too. We never stay at the same place twice but this is an ideal location. It’s about 1.5 miles from the boardwalk shops but a little closer to the boardwalk walkway and Wildwood sign. It’s away from all of the nighttime craziness. …
