We stayed here for 4 nights for the Barefoot country concert 2022 and this motel was awesome. The location of the motel is absolutely perfect you're pretty much on the beach, directly next to the boardwalk. Check in and check out was super easy and fast. Free accessible ice machine. Awesome, awesome roof top deck and pool overlooking the beach. Front desk customer service people were very nice and helpful, and room service was very good and on time every day at 10 am. Can't give 4.5 out of 5 on here, so only giving a 4 out of 5 stars just because the bed in the standard room was very hard. Also no provided hand soap so you have to bring your own (may have been just my room although). Overall, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a primal spot for a motel right on the beach front.

We spent 2 ngihts here, family of 4. It was intersting as it was our first time at the Jersey shore with our kids. The room was ok, the towels smelled like no soap had been used when they were washed. Other than that, the room was ok. The AC was loud but it worked and the fridge did its job. We parked the car the entire time we were there and that was great. Perfect location to the beach and boardwalk. The only issue we had was that our room smelled like weed pretty bad on our first night. The room next door smelled on the outside as well. It is supposed to be a non-smoking motel but they def do not enfirce that. Although the motel is on a busy street, it was relatively quiet, it felt safe at all times but it was not cheap for what we got. Not sure if we would stay again if we are ever in the area again. We might look for something a bit nicer. We did not use any of the pools. We were simpy told 2 pools were open but given no other info by the man at check in which I wish he had taken a few min to tell us about the roof top one.

Spent a night here. It was perfect. Right on the boardwalk, so much to do around there. The room was clean, bed was incredible. I definitely recommend this spot to stay and enjoy a weekend on the beach. Best part no people making noise or smoking weed all over the place. Very peaceful

We've been coming to AA Heart of Wildwood for many years. We came when the kids were little and the owner was Mary. We enjoyed coming because location was very close to the boardwalk and she took pride in owning this hotel. And it showed with how clean it was and how she kept things up to date. But since the new owners have taken over, I honestly would not come back here next time I'm basing my answer on the fact that AA Heart of Wildwood customer service and just overall quality of the room I had. There was a serious issue The room had no smoke detectors at all. When I arrived on Sunday I notified the front desk. They inform me that they would get one for my room immediately. Sunday night when we arrived back to our room after an evening on the boardwalk there was no smoke detector. I woke up the next morning and informed the front desk again. Monday night the same thing. By Tuesday morning I had enough and I demanded a smoke detector be placed immediately otherwise I was going to file a complaint At this point they finally found a smoke detector and replaced it. The rooms were not kept clean by the maid staff while we were staying there things were left on the floor soap scum around the shower and sink. Things were broken in the room were non-operational and out dated. If you have an issue and you need to call the front desk there's no phone in the room. The hotel is in a desperate need for a major update. I feel like they need a lot of updates to things. I informed the front desk about the cleanliness of the room items broken in the room and the smoke detector I requested the discount. The girl at the front desk told me that she would contact the owner. Upon my last day when I was checking out I was informed that they would not be giving me a discount. The owner is not present at the hotel and doesn't seem to care about it at all. It's just a moneymaker They don't care about people safety The quality of the hotel whether or not things are being taken care of properly. If we return back to Wildwood next year we will not be staying at this hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel many times when my kids were younger. Wanted to revisit because we had so many good memories Hotel was clean but staff was so unfriendly. The guy working the desk could not even look you in the eyes when speaking. He barely acknowledged you when you were standing there He had no answers to any of our questions. The guy sweeping the deck stared to the point we were almost uncomfortable leaving our room. Our tv was so fuzzy it was impossible to watch. Description said it had a safe and phone which it had neither. I know things change, but it was truly a sad visit

The room was very small and outdated. The so called daily maid service was only to replace towels and make the bed. We had an efficiency and they never gave us coffee for the pot. Decaf was the only coffee available after the first day. The fridge was rusty and held together with tape. The bed was up against the wall because the room is so small. I had to crawl in and out of it frim the bottom. Nit fun when you're older with bad knees. There is NO room to lay around the pool. There was barely room for the plastic chairs that were disgustingly dirty. The staff never cleaned up the pool area. For almost $2,400 for the week, I was very disappointed. I will not stay here again. The only benefit is that it is right across from the boardwalk.

This is our second year staying here and it just didn’t live up to the first year. First, we stayed in their two bedrooms flats. Two major complaints, bed were unbearable and their was always a raw sewage smell in the apartment. I understand they are understaffed but a staff member never addressed the issue. The kid working the front desk even asked how the stay was and when he was told about the smell, responded “okay.”
Outside of that, pools were clean, parking was good, proximity to attractions is good. Kitchen is basic but was good enough for what you needed. Showers take forever to get hot water but the pressure is good.
I understand everyone is understaffed so those type issues I’ll ignore except for the fact that they advertise a grill on property. Last year their was one right at the apartment. This year you needed to walk two buildings away. Not a huge deal but the propane was out several times and the staff couldn’t be reached to refill. When you expect to eat a meal on your apartment and then have to order out because the amenity isn’t working, that is something I wasn’t happy about.
Over all, we will probably pick somewhere else to stay next year.

We stayed at the heart of wildwood and this trip was a disaster. The room had a constant sewer smell that was never addressed. The beds were dressed with dirty sheets and when we removed them, the mattress was even worse. One mattress was full of springs with no padding. When we book, all pools were open only to arrive and find out the rooftop pool was closed with no warning. Front desk staff apologize and say they will fix the issue and have someone contact us. We are over a month out with no responses to emails or phone. New owners are horrible. We also booked the condos with having a bbq at our location. Had to walk a block away to use the one dirty bbq they had on location. We stood by this place during covid and let them hold out money for two years until we could be given a room without complaining and this was how they said thank you. A smelly room with dirty sheets minus amenities they promised at bookings. We will never stay here again.

This motel was not as advertised. The floor plan didn't reflect what was actually in the room. Shower was dirty, showerhead was loose, soap from the previous guest was still on top of the shower, the window leaked because of Tropical Storm Ophelia, and the toilet leaked.
Speaking of Tropical Storm Ophelia, we tried to cancel because of not feeling safe going down because of the storm but was told we couldn't cancel without a refund so we went down. Luckily the storm wasn't as bad as we thought. Plus we were getting down there late and was told someone will be in the office until 10pm but we got there before 10pm and nobody was there. Had to call the number and wait in the wind for 10 minutes. We were also going to pay in cash when we got there but to find out that they ran my card without my permission to train someone.
I will not stay at this so called Motel ever again!

When I booked my room, the motel staff immediately called me to confirm my stay and find out what floor I wanted my room to be on. When my family and I arrived, the motel lobby was clean and the staff was so friendly. We ended changing our minds about what floor we wanted and the staff was very willing to accommodate us. The room was very neat and clean. The beds were very comfortable. The fact that they are on the boardwalk made it that much better.We will definitely stay there the next time we are in Wildwood.
