Very poorly ran operation, totally unprofessional. They kept a $600 deposit from me citing a contract which they themselves could not honor. Some very nice campgrounds in the area which have solid moral values and are true and honest unlike Sea Pirate.

We stayed at the end of June for a long weekend. The pool was nice and clean with staff there to check you in and out. They had to limit the amount of people in and out due to covid regulations. Which was good! Also you have to bring your own chair to the pool area - also a plus. Masks must be worn inside the general store which was stocked. Most all the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The play ground areas are closed off right now, but the gaga pit and basketball area is open. We did get beach badges to LBI with a $35 cash deposit for each badge that you get back when you return them same day. Highly recommend going to the beach for the day. It's a quick drive. Friends stayed with us at the camp ground during the same weekend and we choose the buddy site. This was great and we had lots of shared space. The bathrooms were maintained. The reason for only 3 stars was due to the green head flies. They were a big issue for both families. Although we had bug spray - they still were awful. Bring a large outdoor fan.

This was our first ever RV trip so everything was new to us. We've camped many times with a tent at other places but the facility was so easy and accommodating that it made our trip less stressful than it could have been. The sites and all the facilites including bathrooms were very clean and we always saw staff working on improvements all day from mowing, site cleanups and such. Everyone was helpful and the location to Long Beach Island was what sent us looking here in the first place. The weather ended up being pretty crummy fro the beach but at least we had a warm comfortable place to ceom home to at the end of the day. Tha park is very dog friendly as it seemed we were the only ones without a dog but they were all well behaved and didn't bark all day or night long. In fact, very little barking at all. We would definitely stay here again if coming back to LBI.

My 9 year old grandson and I stayed there in our tent from a Sunday night and Monday night. Everyone there was so friendly and helpful. We were going to stay at a different camp ground at first which like many only had the option of organized activities Fri and Sat nights. But at the Sea Pirate there were organized activities about every 2 hours 7 days a week. I don't have the energy to entertain a 9 year old all day so this sounded perfect to me. We played Bingo and Candy Bingo, went swimming in their pool, Every so often at the pool there were cannon ball and diving contests. The prizes were simple like a little lollipop which was great because it didn't make the prize as the important reason to participate but to just have fun. Some of the other activities were tug of war, Duck, Duck Splash, arts and crafts and an evening hayride through the campground to name a few. The campground is clean and family friendly. We are planning on going back in a couple of weeks. We had a terrific time! The only thing that surprised me is that there was a fire ring at all of the camp sites but no grills. It really didn't matter for we had our own propane camp stove and we did cook hot dogs over our camp fire and made S'mores.

Only stayed one night but campground was nice. Bathrooms were clean. Our spot was large and grassy. Arcade was fun. They had pin pong table outside that we loved. The showers can be annoying as you have to keep pushing to turn water on.
