We had a spacious King City View on our recent 9/12/21 - 9/14/21 stay. The room was fine, but not particularly clean except for the bathroom. The front desk staff varied, but were pleasant and as helpful as they could be. That said, this hotel does not meet Marriott standards given the prices charged (average of over $250+ per night). It was in STARK contrast to our stay 9/9/21 - 9/12/21 at a downtown DC Marriott near Metro Center which was clean, with friendly impeccable service, masking required, a cheap and efficient Starbucks in the lobby, etc. Cons: 1) Many signs required masks, but at least 50% of the clientele did not wear a mask - anywhere. Front desk staff wore masks, mostly, except all day 9/13/21, and one woman who only wore a face shield. There was no effort whatsoever at enforcement of this Marriott RULE. Housekeeping and restaurant staff that we observed did wear masks. 2) There is really nothing to eat here but a full meal at their restaurant. I.e., no breakfast for less than the +/-$20 full buffet. If you try to buy a coffee ($2.50) they want exact cash change. The room has a coffeemaker, with Starbucks pods (going into reused trays) and Starbucks cups that are not wrapped in any type of wrapper. UGH. There really aren't good options close to the hotel for a quick coffee or breakfast. 3) Airport Shuttle. Our brother-in-law was in a Mid-Town Marriott with an airport shuttle. This hotel "hasn't had one since the covid". There are also no taxi services. Our Lyft driver cancelled after the time he should have arrived, and the replacement Uber driver arrived 25 minutes late. So, be aware that if you need to get to the airport, make sure that you have a backup plan. I do not like to write negative reviews, but these are simple things that a hotel owner or franchisee could easily fix.

Staff were unprofessional- were yelling in the hallway and also around the entrance from the parking lot. Most were wearing masks improperly, on their neck or chin. Ones wearing them properly removed them to talk. We were given a handicap room for some reason, shower curtain was too short so water went out into the floor since shower stall had no curb.

Awesome stay! This property totally exceeded our expectations! Room was spacious and clean. The view was amazing day and night. Our room had clear Views of Hudson Yards, The Vessel and 1 World Trade. We most definitely will stay again. Great value if u r visiting NY! This is a hidden gem.

Had I just gotten India instead of her boss at check in, I would have had a better experience. India was courteous. Friendly with all the guests. The other lady, the boss, not so much. Almost seemed drunk with power or gin. Who knows. I’d rather stay in a dirty motel than see her face again.

Stayed here recently for a quick couples getaway. Here’s the breakdown: Pros Nice views from room 638. Walk to the Pier was nice. Took ferry to NYC. Ferry is $9 pp each way. Room was pretty clean Staff was friendly and helpful Cons No microwave or fridge in room Jack Austin’s (hotel restaurant) was not open Sunday or Monday so no room service or late night eats there. No matter how many times you call guest services from your room, the line is busy. Room is very pricey for the lack of amenities Overall, would’ve felt better spending that much money or a little more for a hotel in NYC. Not up to par for a Marriott hotel.
