Friday night after a long exhausting working week I called thinking they were going to laugh at me for asking for a room the next day. Luckily they had the last one available and was able to book it in seconds. We arrived the next morning and they took care of us ever since. We stayed over the weekend and... More

We have stayed here before and could see that some upgrades by the new owners had been made. We stayed in room 21 (separate from the main building which is way too loud). Seemed clean, relatively new paint. The bed was comfortable and they upgraded their towels which was really nice. They could use to upgrade the tv too though.... More

Old Hotel .great location..Friendly staff .... Excellent happy Hr ! We stayed in room 12 in the hotel which is located above the restaurant. The room was small but nice with a refrigerator. Bathroom was clean with plenty of hot water. ice maker is located outside in the back of the hotel(minor issue) .Biggest issue was noise from the entertainment... More

It was late in the season and the hotel seemed to be shutting down. The room was clean and the hot water worked Avoid the buffet. It was heavy on Pasta items. The premium meat was sliced Roast beef. No Chicken. The seafood item was Salmon Crochets. At twenty-five dollars it was over priced. OKAY if you are a Pasta... More

I guess for the price I shouldn't complain. But be ware you get what you pay for. The room was musty and stuffy with a non working ac. The TV had issues as well. Not updated and the mini blinds let in a lot of light. We had asked for an accessible room which they don't have and should've stayed... More

My boyfriend and I visited the Surf City Hotel over Labor Day weekend and sat at the bar for a drink and light appetizers. Although the bartender was nice and replaced my drink when I noticed quite a bit of particulate matter floating around, my Jumbo Shrimp cocktail was medium size at best. My boyfriend ordered steamer clams and they... More

I have been staying at the hotel for many years. Over the past 3 years the hotel has been going down hill fast. The room this year, Rm#9, the door hanging off the hinges. Repair was 3 wood screws through the hinge which protruded through the frame inside the room. Spotlight on the roof shinning into the room until 12AM,... More

This is just a beach hotel as mentioned in earlier reviews. However, I'm beginning to feel with what they charge they really need to do something with renovating this place. The doors are constantly slamming. The rooms are old and dated. Stay away from the rooms in the hotel they are too loud with the bands playing downstairs. Rooms are... More

My wife and I stayed at the surf city hotel for the LBI 5k this year. Granted it was offseason when we stayed, but we have been to the bar/lounge during the summer in the past so know what to expect. Great location. Good nightlife on premises and the staff are great. Next time we come down for a long... More

The hotel is ok if you are only looking for a place to sleep. Rooms are small and are in desperate need for an upgrade but clean. The fact that I got the last room might justify the price but I still think it was too much.
