My wife and I needed to get away for the weekend and we found this place and we loved it and enjoyed our weekend stay. So clean and the service during breakfast was great(food was great too). The Inn staff were friendly and attentive. The grounds are well-kept and provided the peace and tranquility that we were looking for.
My husband and I stayed two nights in the Audubon cottage to celebrate my 40th birthday. I can't say enough about the Woolverton Inn. Mary and Mario have created a warm, welcoming and beautiful environment. The Inn staff were friendly and attentive. The grounds are well-kept and provided the peace and tranquility that we were looking for. The three-course breakfast hit the spot! My only regret is that I wish we had more time there. We'll definitely be back.
We stayed in the Sojourn loft and the entire experience was magical. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Beautiful walking trails & fantastic breakfast delivered to our room. Cannot wait to stay again. Julie & Matt
We absolutely loved our stay at the Woolverton Inn! We stayed in the Hunterdon Cottage for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year's. We enjoyed the gas fireplace, jetted soaking tub, 2-person walk-in shower, and skylight; the in-room breakfast delivery each day, the bathrobes, books, board games, and CD player (yep, a CD player) helped us disconnect from the outside world; and the in-room prenatal massage was wonderful (thank you Yuli!) The staff took many safety precautions - required face masks, hand sanitizer available in all public spaces, and social distancing. They also made it possible to have a contact-free trip by bringing breakfast to the room, taking requests and meal orders by text or call, and eliminating in-room housekeeping (although we had a daily trash pickup and amenities refresh, plus anything else on request) More than anything, the property was beautiful and the hospitality was top-notch. We enjoyed the small touches - complimentary soft drinks; the in-room hot water kettle and fridge; folding tables to make in-room dining comfortable; the afternoon cookies and tea; and the generosity and graciousness of the owners made us feel right at home. It was a luxurious and romantic babymoon - only an hour and a half from NYC but still a world away - and well worth every penny. We can't wait to go back.…
There were few opportunities to get away this summer, but we deeply appreciated the ways in which the Woolverton Inn made it a COVID-safe destination. We stayed on a couple of weeknights before the July 4th holiday and enjoyed the peace and quiet as well as the surrounding area. Upon entry, they made it easy to navigate their inn, with hand santizer all over the place. It was a quick bop over to Lawrenceville for dinner outside. We walked the trails in the area (the D&R is walkable) and shaded at this very hot time of year. The room was beautiful with lovely toiletries and a very clean spa tub. We enjoyed an evening out on the covered front porch enjoying the thunderstorm. The breakfast was extremely tasty, though they noted that they were serving pork roll, they were really just serving a nice piece of ham. I appreciated their work to make it safe, comply with the rules of "safer at home." In the common areas, there is lots of rich history, with many books and magazines. And, of course, the star are all the lawn areas with Adirondack chairs, beautiful gardens, views of the deer that wander (often) on to the premises, and their sheep. We could not figure out the central air, which was a bit too cold and hot for us at times. All-and-all, it would be great to get back here again, if at all possible.…
