We love the New Hope area and have been coming for years. We had never stayed in Stockton. We are glad we did. The Wolverton Inn is lovely, warm, and close to everything we enjoy in the area. It is close to shops, restaurants and great for long walks. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the grounds are beautiful. We even got to feed the sheep.
We loved staying here! The sheep, the never ending views, the beautiful mature trees...the gorgeous room with all the modern amenities.... were all so wonderful. It was a true way to connect with nature and ourselves...the food was delicious too!!!!
My husband and I got married at Woolverton Inn and we often come back and stay in the cottages for a relaxing getaway. We love exploring the nearby towns along the Delaware River. Breakfast is delicious and we enjoy afternoon tea and cookies. The staff is always wonderful and we can't wait to visit again soon.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend for our anniversary. It was a perfect stay all around. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was very nice and accommodating for our needs. Plenty to do in the area as well. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfy. I will definitely be going back.
My sisters and I stayed at the Woolverton inn to spend some time together. We stayed in a cottage outside the main building. The stay was delightful. All the staff were warm and friendly and helpful. Every need was anticipated. The grounds are lovely and well-maintained. The breakfast was delicious. There was coffee and snacks (homemade) available in the afternoons - as well as newspapers and games and CDs for any time of day. Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to think through the details and make your stay as comfortable and pleasant as possible. And that feeling of genuine warmth and hospitality came from all the staff our whole stay. I look forward to returning.
I just got home from two days at The Woolverton Inn and cannot say enough good things about it. The grounds are gorgeous, our cottage was great and the staff is lovely and helpful. I was with my two sisters for a birthday celebration and we would come back in a second. Bravo
My husband and I had a wonderful time at the Woolverton Inn. It was our second stay and we consider ourselves very discerning travelers so that says a lot. The property is lovely, the rooms are spotless and beautifully furnished and the owners and staff are extremely accommodating. We had a serene and relaxing two night stay and hope to visit again in the near future.
This was our first escape to the country (and away from work) in two years. You cannot avoid getting into relaxing mode from your first step into the property. There is something magic in watching sheep pasturing that makes you forget about everything else. The owners are really a nice couple, who cares about their guests. The personnel is very nice and friendly. Every detail speaks labor of love. Breakfast is amazing and different every day. Great quality fresh food, generous portions. All cookies and sweets for the afternoon tea are homemade. The original stone building is in excellent restoration conditions, I loved the original floorboards and the period fixtures. Each guest room has its own character and you want to try them all, one visit at a time. We will definitely go back when the Hydrangeas and the roses are blooming, then again to enjoy fall color. Thank you all!…
I really enjoyed my stay (4-star rating only in relation to exceptional Inns I've stayed at in my lifetime). This place surprised me as I wouldn't expect the hills of New Jersey to be so relaxing. Bunkered down in Cotswold cottage. Pretty pastel blue, high ceilings made space seem large, fireplace & jetted tub added luxury, window seat facing sheep was tranquil entertainment, & screened porch a lovely place to sip coffee & talk. Large mini fridge stocked w/ complimentary water & soda stored our restaurant leftovers nicely. Standouts: In-room massage by "Yulee" knocked my socks off. In fact, I owe her a better tip (which I laid out beforehand not knowing this would make my list of all time best massages). I need constant, intense, pressure & she was powerhouse who knew exactly where to apply it. I'd return just for her. Breakfast sandwich immediately on to-do list for recreating at home. Grilled challah, scrambled eggs, thick-sliced bacon & tomato finished w/ green onions- glorious! This foodie was happy. Everyone loved full-service coffee/espresso machine. Breakfast delivered to room on day 1 made for special experience. Owner was receptive, not defensive, about feedback & place seemed a WIP that she was committed to. Prices were fair. I look forward to a return visit. Minor critiques- No stranger to anti-electronics B&B's, but at 1 point I did miss having a TV. (We stayed in during rain storm & thought how nice it be to snuggle up & watch movie.) Toiletries were respectable Aveda, but something more luxurious like French milled soap or bubble bath for the tub would be nice touch. Lastly, I celebrated a birthday- not unheard of to put complimentary bottle of wine or card in room.…
The space is quite beautiful, even in March. I am looking forward to returning when the flowers are in bloom. Our room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and lovely views. The gas fireplace was so romantic, and easy to operate, and the steam shower in our well-appointed bathroom rivals that of the best spas. Everyone with whom we interacted from the owner (Mary Passalacqua), to housekeeping and dining staff was very knowledgeable and pleasant. I hope this place thrives for many years under their care.
