John and his staff have put together a great take out for most nights of the week. The prime rib Saturdays are wonderful. They deliver and the food comes warm. Thank you again for bringing us a great experience
For the entire 4 days of my stay neither of the young receptionist smiled or said hello to me in the morning when I entered the reception area for coffee. I understand that it is an old building. When I mentioned that the doorknob to my room was loose and I was having trouble entering my room, the receptionist said she would get maintenance to look at it. Nothing was done. When I returned at the end of the day the doorknob fell off in my hand. I stayed on the third floor to save money. The bathroom, shower room and lavatory are down the hall. There is a sink in my room and every now it then it makes a loud giggling noise. My room is extremely tiny, with one very tiny window. The ceiling of my room slopes so I cannot see the small television from my bed because of its placement on the wall. A notice is placed at the second floor landing stating “Quiet Hours from 10pm to 8am. That never happened. Vacationers oblivious to the level of their conversations while walking down the hall late at night and the slamming their room doors as the entered and exited their room was annoying to say the least. Conversations from the room to either side of me could be heard through the walls of the room. Beach towels and beach chairs are offered first come, first served. Beach tags are offered. Nicely located across the street from the beach. it would have been lovely if they had a porch to sit out on but they enclosed it and made it a resturant. They do have a side grassy area with umbrella and chairs to sit on but it does not have a view and the sound of the air conditioner units makes it unpleasant. I feel I paid too much. I will use the price of my stay here as a benchmark and shop around for a more comfortable hotel that is welcoming to its quests and offers outdoor seating,…
old historic house. Clean and well kept. The room had a comfortable bed , comfortable shower but looked bare. air-conditioned well. There is no Lobby however, there is available free coffee and tea all the time. Location is great - across the street from the beach. The restaurant downstairs is busy . we ate there once - food was good. Hotel is pricey in the summer.
Beautiful and clean rooms. Great view of the sunrise every morning. Friendly staff and very helpful with all aspects of the town of Spring Lake. Love this place!!!! Definitely worth visiting. You can walk across the street and be on the beach in seconds. They even provide beach badges. I would definitely tell my friends to stay here!
We could not have been happier with our stay! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful! Taylor was very helpful with Uber suggestions! The office is always stocked with coffee, ice and snacks! We stayed in room 16 this year and it was great! Housekeeping was very prompt and friendly. The room was spotless! Beach badges were provided at no extra cost! Parking is fine and we had no problem getting a spot. The renovations look great! Hope to be back in the fall!
